Los Angeles Harbor College (LAHC) is a public community college in Wilmington, California. It is one of two community colleges serving the South Bay region of Los Angeles. LAHC serves mainly students from Harbor City, Carson, San Pedro, Gardena, Lomita, Wilmington and the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Steeler Nation</span> Term for fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers

Steeler Nation is an official name for the fan base of the National Football League's Pittsburgh Steelers. The term was coined by NFL Films narrator John Facenda in the team's 1978 highlights film. Steelers Country is often used for the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, area where the fan base originates or for areas with a large Steelers fan base.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">J. T. O'Sullivan</span> American gridiron football player (born 1979)

John Thomas O'Sullivan is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL), two seasons in NFL Europe and one season in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the UC Davis Aggies of the University of California, Davis, where he was a three-year starter and threw for career totals of 10,745 yards and 96 touchdowns. He was named a first-team All-American in 2000 and a second-team All-American in 2001. He was inducted into the Cal Aggie Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008.

Granite Hills High School is a public comprehensive high school in El Cajon, California. It serves students in grades nine through twelve. Opened in 1960, Granite Hills is one of 13 high schools in the Grossmont Union High School District. GHHS is the home of the Eagles. Granite Hills High School has been an IB World School since July 2001; it is a California Distinguished School.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Cathedral Catholic High School</span> Private school in San Diego, California, United States

Cathedral Catholic High School (CCHS) is a private coeducational Catholic college preparatory day school in San Diego, California, serving grades 9–12. It is operated by the Diocese of San Diego. In 1970, Cathedral Girls High School, a girls’ school dating back to 1939 and located in downtown San Diego, merged with the all-boys University High School founded in 1957. In 1971, the newly constituted and expanded University of San Diego High School graduated its first coeducational class. Uni or the University of San Diego High School (USDHS), was located in the Linda Vista neighborhood of San Diego. Construction began on CCHS at its current location on Del Mar Heights Road in Carmel Valley in 1999. In 2005, the school including all faculty, administration, and students, moved to that campus and changed its name to Cathedral Catholic High School. Cathedral Catholic High School is accredited by the Western Catholic Education Association (WCEA), the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and holds membership with the College Board.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">T. T. Toliver</span> American football player (born 1977)

Antoine "T. T." Toliver is an American former professional football wide receiver who played in the Arena Football League (AFL) from 2002 to 2018. He played football and basketball at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Florida. In 1995, he was named the Class 5A Player of the Year in football and was also runner-up for Florida's Mr. Football Award. In basketball, Toliver helped Mainland win the Class 6A state championship in 1995 and 1996. He played college football and basketball at Hinds Community College, where he was named the 1997 Junior College Player of the Year as a quarterback. He lost his college football eligibility after signing with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League in 1998. Toliver later enrolled at Bethune-Cookman University, where he played basketball.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">East High School (Utah)</span> Public high school in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States

Salt Lake High School East or simply East High School is a public high school in the Salt Lake City School District in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. It serves grades nine through twelve in general and special education. East High School was founded in 1913 and currently has an enrolled student body of around 1,900. It is located at 840 South 1300 East in the East Bench neighborhood. The original building was completed in 1913, and the current structure was built in 1997.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ivey Shiver</span> American football and baseball player (1907–1972)

Ivey Merwin Shiver, nicknamed "Chick", was an American football and baseball player. He was an end for the Georgia Bulldogs football team in college, and later an outfielder in Major League Baseball. He played in the major leagues for the Detroit Tigers and Cincinnati Reds, and for several teams in the Minor Leagues. Shiver was captain of the Georgia "dream and wonder team" of 1927, selected All-Southern and All-American that same year. He was a renowned punter. He left baseball and the San Diego Padres after 1936 to coach football in Savannah. This left a spot for Ted Williams. He was the athletic director and head coach at Armstrong Junior College from 1937 to 1941, and won a state title at Savannah High School in 1942, where he coached from 1941 to 1952.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Rachel Bloom</span> American actress, comedian, and singer (born 1987)

Rachel Leah Bloom is an American actress, comedian, singer, writer, and producer. She is best known for co-creating and starring as Rebecca Bunch in The CW musical comedy-drama series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015–2019). The role has won her numerous accolades, including a Golden Globe Award, a TCA Award, a Critics' Choice Television Award, and a Primetime Emmy Award.

Peter Alan Thomas is an American college football coach and former player who is currently the quarterbacks coach for the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Forrest Ingram "Frosty" Peters was an American football player who played three seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Providence Steam Rollers, Portsmouth Spartans, Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago Cardinals. He played college football at Montana State and Illinois. He was known for his drop kicking ability.

Robb-Davon Butler is an American former professional football defensive back who played one season with the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He was a three-year letterman in both football and track at Perry Traditional Academy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He earned All-State honors in football for his senior year in 1998. Butler played college football at Pittsburgh for two years as a cornerback. He then transferred to Robert Morris and played wide receiver. He redshirted his first season and caught 29 passes for 459 yards his second season. Butler converted to strong safety his senior season in 2003 and earned first-team Division I-AA All-American honors. After going undrafted in the 2004 NFL draft, he signed with the Chargers. He played in five games for the Chargers in 2004, recording seven total tackles and two kickoff returns. He later spent time with the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Brigade, Erie RiverRats and Wheeling Wildcats.

Trevor Williams is an American former professional football cornerback who played for the San Diego / Los Angeles Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, and Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played high school football at Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, Maryland, where he was a two-year letterman and two-year team captain. He was named first-team All-State his senior year in 2011. Williams played college football at Penn State for four years. He was named honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference in 2014 and 2015. He played in 49 games during his college career, recording 84 tackles and five interceptions. After going undrafted in the 2016 NFL draft, he signed with the Chargers. He started 15 games for the Chargers in 2017 due to a season-ending injury to Jason Verrett. Despite being graded by Pro Football Focus as the 10th highest performing cornerback of the 2017 season, Williams was later benched in 2018 and struggled with injuries before being released by the Chargers in October 2019. He then went on to play two games for the Cardinals in 2019 and two games for the Eagles in 2020. He was also a member of the practice squads of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Pittsburgh Steelers in 2020 but did not appear in any games for either team.

The FIFPRO World 11 are the best association football men's and women's teams of the year. FIFPRO invites all professional men's and women's footballers to compose the teams. Initially known as the FIFPRO World 11, the award began in 2005 and celebrated the best football players as voted by their peers. In 2009, FIFPRO partnered with FIFA, rebranding it as the 'FIFA FIFPRO World 11' while retaining its original format. From the 2024 edition onward, FIFPRO will independently manage the award, reverting to its original name, the FIFPRO World 11.
