Mira Mesa is a community and neighborhood in the city of San Diego, California. The city-recognized Mira Mesa Community Plan Area is roughly bounded by Interstate 15 on the east, Interstate 805 on the west, the Los Peñasquitos Canyon on the north and Marine Corps Air Station Miramar on the south. Most of the community plan area is referred to as Mira Mesa; the community plan area also includes the neighborhoods of Sorrento Valley and Sorrento Mesa.
Mount Hope is an ethnically diverse, hilly urban neighborhood of the City of San Diego, California. Located in the southeastern portion of the city, Mount Hope is named for the large municipal Mount Hope Cemetery, which encompasses approximately 115 acres (0.47 km2) of the community. The neighborhood contains a mixture of residential, industrial, commercial, and cemetery uses.

Logan Heights is an urban neighborhood in central San Diego, California. It is bordered by Interstate 5 on the south and west, Interstate 15 on the east, and Imperial Avenue on the north. It is part of the Southeastern Planning Area.
Barrio Logan is a neighborhood in south central San Diego, California. It is bordered by the neighborhoods of East Village and Logan Heights to the north, Shelltown and Southcrest to the east, San Diego Bay to the southwest, and National City to the southeast. Interstate 5 forms the northeastern boundary. The Barrio Logan Community Plan Area comprises approximately 1,000 acres, of which slightly more than half is under the jurisdiction of the Port of San Diego or the United States Navy rather than the city of San Diego. The community is subject to the California Coastal Act. Though located near the City's Central core, it has long been considered part of Southeast San Diego by many locals, being directly Southeast of Downtown, and with previous historical records labeling it as part of "Western Southeast San Diego."
Golden Hill is a neighborhood of San Diego, California. It is located south of Balboa Park, north of Sherman Heights, Grant Hill and Stockton, and east of Downtown.

Serra Mesa is a community in San Diego, California, roughly between Interstate 805 and Interstate 15, north of Friars Road and south of Aero Drive. It is named for Junípero Serra, a Majorcan (Spain) Franciscan friar who founded the Mission San Diego de Alcalá. Adjacent communities include Kearny Mesa, Tierrasanta, Mission Valley, and Linda Vista.
Point Loma is a seaside community within the city of San Diego, California, United States. Geographically it is a hilly peninsula that is bordered on the west and south by the Pacific Ocean, the east by the San Diego Bay and Old Town, and the north by the San Diego River. Together with the Silver Strand / Coronado peninsula, the Point Loma peninsula defines San Diego Bay and separates it from the Pacific Ocean. The term "Point Loma" is used to describe both the neighborhood and the peninsula.
Roseville-Fleetridge is a neighborhood in Point Loma, San Diego, California. Chollas View is an urban community in the southeastern section of the city of San Diego. It is bordered by Webster and California State Route 94 on the north, Mount Hope and Interstate 805 on the west, Emerald Hills and Euclid Avenue on the east, and Lincoln Park and the San Diego Trolley on the south. Major thoroughfares include Market Street and 47th Street.

It is bordered by Chollas View and the San Diego Trolley on the north, Mountain View and Interstate 805 on the west, Valencia Park and Euclid Avenue on the east, and National City, California on the south. Valencia Park is an urban community in the southeastern section of the city of San Diego, California, United States. It is bordered by Emerald Hills and Market Street on the north, Lincoln Park and Euclid Avenue on the west, Encanto on the east, and Alta Vista and National City, California on the south. Major thoroughfares include Imperial Avenue, Churchward Street, and Valencia Parkway.
Broadway Heights is a small community in the southeastern section of the city of San Diego. It is bordered on the north, east, and west by Lemon Grove, and on the south by Encanto and Mallard Street. The predominantly African-American community has 629 residents within its seven blocks. Weston Street was renamed to Martin Luther King Jr. Way due to a youth campaign, marking the first time a street in San Diego was named after him.
Swan Canyon is a neighborhood in the City Heights community of San Diego, California. It is bounded by Oak Park on the east, Hollywood Park on the west, Fairmount Village on the north and Ridgeview on the south.
