Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts, commonly known as Del Sol High School, is a nine-month public high school in Las Vegas, Nevada and is part of the Clark County School District. Del Sol was one of three schools (including Canyon Springs and Spring Valley) to open in Fall 2004. [3] In 2016, Del Sol High School was reestablished as a performing arts academy focusing on band, costume design, dance, mariachi, music production, orchestra, theater, theater tech and vocal performance. Del Sol’s first State Title in Athletics was by the Boys Bowling team in 2018. Former President Barack Obama spoke 3 times at Del Sol during his second term to rally support for immigration overhaul.
Del Sol Academy's orchestra is taught by Marla Huizar and Ryan Villahermosa. The orchestra received a superior rating at festival in 2021. https://delsolacademyorchestra.com/
Del Sol Academy’s band is taught by Paul Lowry and Erika Hill. Known as the "Dragon's Fire Band," the school received third place in the 2015 Henderson Winterfest parade.
Del Sol Academy offers the only magnet-school concentration area focusing on costume design in the state. Five students were finalists in the Fashion Forward Design Competition in 2017.
The school's theater technology program earned third place in the "Tech Olympics," a competition sponsored by Nevada Thespians.
The Del Sol Dragons compete in the Southeast Division of the Sunrise 4A Region. The football team won the Southeast Division title in 2006 and has made it to the state semifinals in both of the previous two seasons. During the 2009–2010 season, Del Sol reached the state finals for football, although it lost to Bishop Gorman High School in the final game. Head football coach Preston Goroff resigned in that position to become the dean in 2013. Goroff's tenure as coach lasted ten years and culminated in one state championship appearance. [4]
The wrestling program has producing two state placers—Chris Dunfield (twice all region, once all state, and second place in 2006) and Ashton Hill (twice all region, once all-state, and fourth in the 2007 state tournament). In 2006, the team placed eighth in the sunrise region. During the 2015–2016 school year, the wrestling team had one student become the state champion. In 2007, the women's tennis team reached the Nevada State Semi-Finals, losing to Bishop Gorman.

Clarke County High School is a public high school in Berryville, Virginia. CCHS was ranked 19th on Newsweek's Top 1200 High Schools list in 2006. This used a metric based on the amount of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate tests taken by all the students in 2005 divided by the amount of graduating seniors. The Davidson Academy is a public school for gifted middle and high school students located in Reno, Nevada on the University of Nevada, Reno campus. The school, founded in 2006, is the first university public school in the nation for profoundly gifted students, a unique classification in Nevada legislature. As of the 2023-2024 school year, 172 students are enrolled in the Davidson Academy Reno campus and 95 students are enrolled through the online campus. The Davidson Academy groups students by ability, rather than age, and allows students to take curricula at any level, including university classes as part of a dual-enrollment program with the University of Nevada, Reno. The school was designed with the purpose "to provide profoundly gifted young people an advanced educational opportunity matched to their abilities, strengths and interests." Eligible candidates must score in the 99.9th percentile on accepted intelligence and/or achievement tests ; perform at a required academic level; exhibit intellectual and academic achievement; be, or intend to be, residents of Nevada; and pass other criteria such as an in-person assesment. As listed by the Washington Post's Jay Mathews, the Davidson Academy is one of the nation's "Top-performing schools with elite students." The academy was ranked as the #1 Best Public High School in America by Niche.com in 2024 and has the highest average ACT score in the nation.

The Sunrise Region consists of large schools in Henderson, Nevada and on the eastern parts of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas, Nevada. There are two division in the Sunrise 4A Region, Northeast and Southeast. The Sunrise 4A Region was a part of the Southern Nevada 4-A Region, until the conference was divided into two separate regions before the 2000-01 school year due to the constant expansion and development of new high schools in the Las Vegas Valley. Sunrise Mountain High School joined the Northeast Division most recently, during the 2009-10 school year.
