Delorn Edison Johnson (born 15 September 1988) is a cricketer from St. Vincent. He is a left-arm fast bowler who plays first-class cricket for Windward Islands. He has played for West Indies Under-19 cricket team and West Indies A cricket team. [1]
Michael Anthony Holding is a Jamaican former cricketer and commentator who played for the West Indies cricket team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest pace bowlers in cricket history,he was nicknamed "Whispering Death" due to his silent,light-footed run up to the bowling crease. His bowling action was famously smooth and extremely fast,and he used his height to generate large amounts of bounce and zip off the pitch. He was part of the fearsome West Indian pace bowling battery,together with Andy Roberts,Joel Garner,Colin Croft,Wayne Daniel,Malcolm Marshall and Sylvester Clarke,that devastated opposing batting line-ups throughout the world in the late seventies and early eighties. Early in his Test career,in 1976,Holding broke the record for best bowling figures in a Test match by a West Indies bowler,14 wickets for 149 runs (14/149). The record still stands. During his first-class cricket career,Holding played for Jamaica,Canterbury,Derbyshire,Lancashire and Tasmania. In September 2021,Holding announced his retirement from being a commentator.
Ian William Geddes Johnson,was an Australian cricketer who played 45 Test matches as a slow off-break bowler between 1946 and 1956. Johnson captured 109 Test wickets at an average of 29.19 runs per wicket and as a capable lower order batsman made 1,000 runs at an average of 18.51 runs per dismissal. He captained the Australian team in 17 Tests,winning seven and losing five,with a further five drawn. Despite this record,he is better known as the captain who lost consecutive Ashes series against England. Urbane,well-spoken and popular with his opponents and the public,he was seen by his teammates as a disciplinarian and his natural optimism was often seen as naive.

Hophnie Hobah Hines Johnson was a West Indian international cricketer. His first-class cricket career began with his debut for Jamaica in 1935 and lasted until 1951,interrupted by the Second World War. Making his international debut at the age of 37,his Test career lasted just three matches. All three were against England,and the last was in 1950. During his first Test Match,Johnson took five wickets in the first innings and five in the second. He was the first fast bowler to take ten wickets in a single Test for the West Indies,and held the record for best bowling figures by a West Indies player on debut until his 10/97 was bettered by spin bowler Alf Valentine. Johnson was 40 years old when he played his final Test.

The West Indies cricket team toured England in the 1939 season to play a three-match Test series against England. England won the series 1–0 with two matches drawn. A total of 25 first-class matches were played and the West Indian side won eight of them and lost six,with the others drawn. The tour was abandoned a few days after the final test match because of the worsening international situation with the Second World War imminent. The last six matches from 26 August to 12 September were cancelled.

The England national cricket team toured the West Indies from January to April 1948 and played four Test matches against the West Indies cricket team. The first two Tests were drawn and West Indies won the last two to take the series 2–0. England were captained by Gubby Allen,though Ken Cranston was stand-in skipper in the first Test. West Indies began with George Headley as captain but he was badly injured in the first Test and replaced for the rest of the series by John Goddard.
Jonathan Lyndon Carter is a Barbadian cricketer who currently plays for Barbados. He is a big-hitting left-handed batsman who also bowls right-arm medium pace. He made his international debut for the West Indies in January 2015.
Johnson Charles is a St Lucian international cricketer who plays for the West Indies. As a wicketkeeper-batsman,Charles started his ODI career against Australia in March 2012. His first T20I came against England in September 2011,and he became just the second cricketer from the island of St Lucia to play for the West Indies. Johnson was included in the West Indies' 15-man squad for the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 held in September and October that year.

St Lucia has however played as a separate entity in matches which held Twenty20 status,but has not appeared in first-class or List A cricket. St Lucia competes with St Vincent &the Grenadines,Grenada and Dominica in domestic Windward Islands cricket competitions including the Windward Islands two-day and Twenty20 cricket championships.
