Deniss Karpak (born 18 July 1986) is an Estonian sailor. [1]
Karpak was born in Tallinn. He finished 24th at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the Laser class. At the 2012 Summer Olympics he finished 11th in the Finn class and at the 2016 Summer Olympics he finished 20th. [2]
He was born to sailing athlete Igor Karpak and swimmer Marina Trofimova.
He began his high school education in Odesa, Ukraine. When his family moved back to Estonia, he continued his studies at Tallinna Läänemere Gümnaasium, graduating in 2004.
Karpak had his first sailing experience when he was six with an Optimist. He started to regularly engage in sailing when was 12 years old in 1998 with the sailing club "Baltsail". In 1999 Karpak moved to the sailing club Kalev Sailing School (KPSK). In 2003 he moved over to the Laser class. Since 2009 he has been sailing with the Finn class. [3]
Sir Charles Benedict Ainslie is a British competitive sailor. Ainslie is the most successful sailor in Olympic history. He won medals at five consecutive Olympics from 1996 onwards, including gold at the four consecutive Games held between 2000 and 2012.
Robert Scheidt is a Brazilian sailor who has won two gold medals, two silver medals and a bronze from five Olympic Games and a Star Sailors League Final. Sailing/Yachting is an Olympic sport starting from the Games of the 1st Olympiad. With the exception of 1904 and possibly the canceled 1916 Summer Olympics, sailing has always been included on the Olympic schedule. The Sailing program of 1996 consisted of a total of ten sailing classes (disciplines). For each class, with the exception of the Soling, eleven races were scheduled from 22 July to 2 August 1996 off the coast of Savannah at the Wassaw Sound. Michael Mackay McIntyre MBE is a British sailor, who was the Olympic champion in the Star class event at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. He also competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, and won multiple British Finn class championships. In 1989, McIntyre was awarded an MBE for services to yachting.

Ivan Kljaković Gašpić is a Croatian sailor. He competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics in the Men's Finn class. He is a member of the JK Zenta sailing club in Croatia. His coach is Marin Siriscevic.
Allan Julie is a Laser sailor from the Seychelles. Julie is a five-time Olympian, and a gold medalist in the same sailing class at the 2011 All-Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique.

Andrew Murdoch is a New Zealand sailor. He competed at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics in the Men's Laser class, finishing in 5th place at both events.
Michael Leigh is a Canadian sailor, who specialized in one-person (Laser) and two-person dinghy (470) classes. Representing Canada in two editions of the Olympic Games, he finished ninth in the Laser class at Beijing 2008, and then twenty-fifth in the 470 class at London 2012 with his partner Luke Ramsay. Leigh has also been training throughout his sailing career for the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club under his Australian-born personal coach Joshua Chant.
Giles Lyndon Scott is a British competitive sailor and four-time Finn Gold Cup winner and two-time Olympic gold medallist who won the gold medal for Team GB in the Finn Class at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro where having dominated the class, Scott secured his place in the history books winning the gold medal with a day to spare. He is also a member of the 2021 INEOS TEAM UK America's Cup team campaign with Ben Ainslie Racing where he is tactician.

Kevin Lim Leong Keat is a Malaysian former sailor, who specialized in the Laser class. He bagged two silver medals at the Asian Games and became the first-ever Malaysian athlete in history to compete in four editions of the Summer Olympic Games. Before retiring from the sport in late 2008, Lim trained most of his career at the Woollahra Sailing Club in Sydney, Australia.
Gašper Vinčec is a Slovenian former sailor, who specialized in the Finn class. He represented his country Slovenia in two editions of the Summer Olympic Games and came closest to the medal haul in the final race of his signature fleet, finishing in seventh place. Outside his Olympic career, Vinčec picked up a bronze at the 2007 ISAF Worlds in Cascais, Portugal, becoming the first Slovenian sailor to ascend the podium since the breakup of SFR Yugoslavia. A member of the country's Finn yacht club, Vinčec trained most of his competitive sporting career under the tutelage of his personal coach Roman Teply.
Ali Kemal Tüfekçi is a Turkish former sailor, who specialized in the Laser and Finn classes. He represented his country Turkey in the single-handed boat at the 2000 Summer Olympics, before switching to a heavyweight version on his second trip to Beijing 2008. Tüfekçi trained throughout his sporting career for Istanbul Sailing Club.
Eduardo Couto is a Brazilian former sailor, who specialized in the Laser Radial and Finn classes. He won a gold medal in the Laser Radial boat at the class-associated 2005 Worlds in Fortaleza, before switching to a heavyweight division on his only Olympic trip to Beijing 2008. Couto is a member of the Rio de Janeiro Yacht Club.
