Dennis Demmers (21 March 1975) is a Dutch football coach and former footballer. He is best known as a coach in amateur football. In 2010, when coaching both Excelsior '31 (Saturday) and Colmschate '33 (Sunday) he received the Rinus Michels Award.
In professional soccer, he was an assistant manager, scout and manager (2015–2016) of Go Ahead Eagles. [1] He went on to become assistant coach and video analyst of Al-Taawoun FC in Saudi Arabia. Head coach Darije Kalezić was fired after five games, as was Demmers.
Demmers was added to the Netherlands national team staff to analyse players and teams for the upcoming UEFA Euro 2020, alongside fellow coaches Cees Lok and Gert Aandewiel. [2]
James Calderwood is a Scottish former football player and manager. Calderwood played for Birmingham City and Dutch clubs Sparta Rotterdam, Willem II Tilburg, Roda JC and Heracles Almelo. After retiring as a player, Calderwood stayed in the Netherlands and became a coach, becoming a manager of Willem II Tilburg and NEC Nijmegen.
Go Ahead Eagles are a Dutch professional football club from the city of Deventer in the province of Overijssel. They play in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football, having achieved promotion from the second tier Eerste Divisie in the 2020–21 season. The club's home stadium since 1920 is De Adelaarshorst. The club have won the national championship on four occasions, in 1917, 1922, 1930 and 1933.
