Mpho Franklyn Parks Tau is a South African politician who has been a Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs since March 2023 and a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since February 2023, representing the African National Congress. Before becoming a member of Parliament, Tau had been a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature where he served in the Gauteng Executive Council as MEC for Economic Development from December 2020 to October 2022. Kevin John Mileham is a South African politician, a Member of the South African Parliament for the Democratic Alliance and the Shadow Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy. Mileham was first elected to Parliament on 3 June 2013, replacing Athol Trollip. His first parliamentary role was as the Shadow Deputy Minister of Land Reform and Rural Development. After the 2014 National Elections, he was appointed the Shadow Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs. In February 2019, he was appointed as Shadow Minister of Energy. After the National and Provincial Elections on 8 May 2019, Mileham was appointed as Shadow Minister of the expanded portfolio of Mineral Resources and Energy.
Kopeng Obed Bapela is a South African politician who is currently serving as the Deputy Minister of Public Enterprises since 6 March 2023. Before that, he was Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs from 2014 to 2023. A member of the African National Congress (ANC), he has been a member of the National Assembly since 2002 and a deputy minister since 2010.
Alvin Botes is a South African African National Congress (ANC) politician from the Northern Cape who has been serving as the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation since May 2019. He became a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa in February 2018. He was the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Social Development from 2009 to 2013 and the MEC for Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs from 2013 to 2018. Botes served as a Member of the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature from 2009 to 2018.
Mothibedi Gordon Kegakilwe was a South African politician and a party member of the African National Congress. He served as the North West MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlement and Traditional Affairs from May 2019 until his death in July 2020.
The Department of Traditional Affairs (DTA) is a department of the South African government, responsible for overseeing the traditional leadership of South Africa's indigenous communities. Along with the Department of Cooperative Governance, it is within the political responsibility of the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), who is assisted by a Deputy Minister of Traditional Affairs. As of August 2020 the minister is Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and her deputies are Obed Bapela and Thembi Nkadimeng.
Mmoloki Saviour Cwaile is a South African politician who served as the North West MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs from November 2020 to August 2021. A member of the African National Congress, he has been a Member of the North West Provincial Legislature since February 2019. Cwaile had previously served as the chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Premier, Finance, Cooperative Governance, Human Settlement and Traditional Affairs in the legislature.
Cilliers Brink is a South African politician who is the Mayor of Tshwane, in office since 28 March 2023. A member of the Democratic Alliance, he was the party's Shadow Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs from 2020 until 2023 and a Member of Parliament (MP) from 2019 to 2023. He was the party's Shadow Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs between 2019 and 2020.
Siphosihle Emmanuel Hlomuka is a South African politician who is the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison in KwaZulu-Natal, having been appointed in August 2022. He served as the MEC for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs from May 2019 to August 2022. Hlomuka was sworn in as a Member of the Provincial Legislature in May 2019. He is the current deputy provincial secretary of the African National Congress.
Prince Zolile Burns-NcamasheAa! Zweliyajika! is the son of Chief Sipho Burns-Ncamashe Aa! Zilimbola!, a South African politician and a member of the South African National Assembly for the African National Congress. Following the death of ANC MP Tozama Mantashe, he assumed a position in the National Assembly as the next MP on ANC's Eastern Cape list.
Mohlopi Philemon Mapulane is a South African politician who is the current Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies and a member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the African National Congress. He previously served as Chairperson of the Ad Hoc Joint Committee on Appointment of Board Members to the National Youth Development Agency from 2016 to 2019, as Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Environmental Affairs from 2016 to 2019, as Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Higher Education, Science and Technology from 2019 to 2021, and as Chairperson of the Powers and Privileges of Parliament Committee from 2020 to 2021.
Thembisile Nkadimeng is a South African politician for the African National Congress. She is the current Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, in office since March 2023. She had previously served as Deputy Minister Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs from 2021 to 2023.
Fikile Devilliers Xasa is a South African politician currently serving as the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs since 2021. He has been a Member of the National Assembly for the African National Congress since 2019.
