Destination X is a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event held by Impact Wrestling currently in the month of August. The event primarily revolves around the X-Division, the 2005, 2006, 2009, and 2010 events had Ultimate X matches. [1]

It was announced on TNA Wrestling's official website in January 2011 that Destination X was moving from March to July, switching places with TNA's traditional July PPV, Victory Road. [2] On the June 21, 2012, edition of Impact, it was announced that every year the current X Division Champion will have an opportunity to give up their title for a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Destination X. On January 11, 2013, TNA announced that in 2013 there would be only four PPVs, not including Destination X, although Destination X would be featured as a special episode of Impact Wrestling from 2013 to 2017. History

The inaugural Destination X event took part on March 13, 2005, at the TNA Impact! Zone in Orlando, Florida. [4] On 2017, after Anthem Sports & Entertainment purchased a majority stake of TNA, Anthem re-branded TNA as Impact Wrestling. [5] On June of that year, with the Impact merging with Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling (GFW), Impact was re-branded to GFW. [6] After the last Destination X event, which took place on August 17, 2017, at the Impact Zone in Florida, the company was once named Impact Wrestling with Jarrett leaving the company couple months later on October. [7]

When event names were shuffled by TNA for 2006, the event was moved to May. Sacrifice has had a tradition of being the final round of tournaments. Sacrifice 2005 saw Samoa Joe defeat A.J. Styles to win the Super X Cup. Sacrifice 2006 was the final round of the World X Cup Tournament. Sacrifice 2008 continued the tradition with the finals of the Deuces Wild Tag Team Tournament. Sacrifice 2009 featured Beer Money, Inc. defeating The British Invasion in the finals of the Team 3D Invitational Tag Team Tournament. All events take place inside the Impact! Zone. On January 11, 2013, TNA announced that in 2013 will be only four PPVs, dropping Sacrifice. In 2016, Sacrifice was held as a special edition of Impact Wrestling and the promotion revived it as a monthly special for Impact Plus in 2020.

Victory Road is a professional wrestling Impact Plus event held by Impact Wrestling. Victory Road was initially the first three-hour pay-per-view card held by the promotion in November 2004. In 2006, it became an annual pay-per-view for the month of July. All events except for the 2008 edition have been held inside the Impact Zone. It was announced in January 2011 that the event would be moved from July to March, switching places with TNA's traditional March PPV, Destination X.

Suicide is a professional wrestling persona, used by multiple wrestlers in Impact Wrestling. Suicide first appeared as a fictional character from the video game TNA Impact!. In December 2008, the Suicide character was introduced on television as a real-life wrestler. Originally portrayed by Frankie Kazarian, Christopher Daniels held the role for a time in early 2009 and went on to win the X Division Championship. In June 2010, Kiyoshi became the third man to use the gimmick. In October 2010, the gimmick was dropped, but made a brief return in January 2011, once again being portrayed by Christopher Daniels, before being dropped once again in April 2011. Suicide returned to television in May 2013 portrayed by T. J. Perkins. Austin Aries wrestled under the Suicide gimmick on the episode of Impact Wrestling which aired on June 27, 2013 and won the TNA X Division Championship. Suicide was "revealed" to be Perkins, who claimed Aries stole his ring gear, on the June 30, 2013, episode of Impact Wrestling. His ring name was changed to Manik, using a slightly altered version of the Suicide gear, with new music. Perkins remains the only man to have wrestled under the Manik persona. The Suicide persona returned in July 2016 for TNA One Night Only X-Travaganza 2016, portrayed by Jonathan Gresham. In March 2017, Caleb Konley became the man behind the mask.

The 2005 Destination X was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) promotion, which took place on March 13, 2005 at the TNA Impact! Zone in Orlando, Florida. It was the first event under the Destination X chronology. Nine matches and two preshow matches were featured on the event's card.

The service ceased operating on May 1, 2019, when it was replaced by Impact Plus.

Impact Plus is a video streaming service owned and operated by Anthem Wrestling Exhibitions, the parent company of professional wrestling promotion Impact Wrestling. The platform replaced the Global Wrestling Network and features services not previously available on GWN, notably live monthly premium events. The platform utilized the technology and ecosystem of Brightcove.
