Multiverse is a professional wrestling event promoted by the U.S. based promotion Impact Wrestling as part of WrestleCon, which is held during the weekend of, and either in or nearby the same city as WrestleMania - the flagship event of WWE - which is considered to be the biggest wrestling event of the year.

History

The "Multiverse" name stems from Impact either bringing in talent from, or co-producing the show with partner promotions such as New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), Ring of Honor (ROH), Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) and Mexico's Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). [1] The inaugural Multiverse event took place on April 1, 2022, at the Fairmount Hotel, in Dallas, Texas. [2]

He is best known for his time performing for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) as well as the U.S. based Ring of Honor (ROH). Muñoz's father, Arturo Muñoz, is also a professional wrestler, most recently known under the ring name La Bestia del Ring. William's younger brothers are also professional wrestlers, using the ring names Dralístico and Dragon Lee. While most luchadors portray clear heroes or villains in the ring, Rush portrays a character that straddles that divide; his in-ring actions are often chaotic or brawling, with tendencies to cheat, but he is still popular with fans.

The War of the Worlds was a series of professional wrestling events, produced every year since 2014 by professional wrestling promotions Ring of Honor (ROH) and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). The War of the Worlds events are shown on the online streaming services of both promotions, Honor Club and NJPW World.
