Fantastica Mania, sometimes spelled as Fantasticamania, is a series of annual professional wrestling shows co-promoted by Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Japanese New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), with Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) also co-promoting Fantastica Mania shows in the UK with CMLL. Fantastica Mania is a series of two to seven shows that have taken place in Japan, in January/February of each year since 2011. Since its inception in 2011, 75 Fantastica Mania shows have taken place.
The Fantastica Mania event series was a result of the working relationship between Japanese-based New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and Mexican Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) who had been exchanging wrestlers for short or long periods of time for several years before 2011. In late 2010 NJPW and CMLL announced that they would co-promote two shows in January 2011 under the name Fantastica Mania. The shows would take place in Japan organized by NJPW with CMLL sending a number of their wrestlers to Japan to work the shows. In 2011 and 2012 some CMLL wrestlers toured with NJPW prior or after the shows, while some of the wrestlers flew in just for the show. In 2014, the Fantastica Mania tour was expanded to five days, with events for the first time scheduled to take place outside of Tokyo's Korakuen Hall, in Osaka and Kyoto. [1] In 2015, Fantastica Mania was held over six shows in Osaka, Takamatsu, Kyoto and Tokyo. [2] In 2016, Fantastica Mania was again held over six shows in Kōchi, Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo. [3] The following year, the tour expanded to seven shows, held in Osaka, Matsuyama, Kyoto, Nagoya and Tokyo. [4] In 2018, the tour is set to include eight shows. [5]
As of the conclusion of the 2017 Fantastica Mania tour 78 individual wrestlers have competed in 207 matches split over 31 shows in total. Gedo, Jyushin Thunder Liger and Okumura have worked at least one match on each of the seven tours. King Fale, Kenny Omega and Toru Yano have only worked on one show in total. The Fantastica Mania events have hosted 24 championship matches, with five title changes; Ryusuke Taguchi defeated Máscara Dorada to win the CMLL World Welterweight Championship, Apollo 55 (Prince Devitt and Ryusuke Taguchi) defeated Golden☆Lovers (Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega) to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, La Sombra defeated Dragón Rojo Jr. to win the NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship, Máscara Dorada defeated Bushi to win the CMLL World Welterweight Championship and Kamaitachi defeated Dragon Lee to win the CMLL World Lightweight Championship. [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] The CMLL World Heavyweight Championship, CMLL World Middleweight Championship, IWGP Tag Team Championship, CMLL World Trios Championship, CMLL World Welterweight Championship, NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship, IWGP Intercontinental Championship, Mexican National Light Heavyweight Championship, CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship, Mexican National Welterweight Championship and Arena Coliseo Tag Team Championship were all successfully defended. Fantastica Mexico, also promoted as CMLL Presenta NJPW Fantastica Mania México 2023, was a professional wrestling event produced by New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), which took place on June 30, 2023, at the Arena México in Mexico City, Mexico. It was the 12th edition of the Fantastica Mania event series and first in Mexico. The event also celebrated the 50th anniversary of El Satánico.
Six matches were contested at the event. In the main event, Rocky Romero defeated Volador Jr. to retain the NWA World Historic Welterweight Championship. In other prominent matches, Máscara Dorada 2.0 defeated El Desperado, Tiger Mask vs El Satánico ended in a time-limit draw in a match relámpago and in the opening contest, Las Infernales (Dark Silueta, Zeuxis and Lluvia) defeated La Catalina, La Jarochita and Stephanie Vaquer.

Pleasant High School in San Jose, California. It was the 16th edition of the Fantastica Mania event series, and first to take place in the United States of America.

Mephisto is the ring name of a Mexican luchador enmascarado, or masked professional wrestler and currently works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). His real name is not a matter of official record as he is an enmascarado, which by lucha libre traditions means that his personal life is kept secret from the general public.
Ramón Ibarra Rivera, better known by his ring name Volador Jr., is a Mexican luchador, who works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). He portrays a técnico wrestling character and is considered one of the top level técnicos in the promotion. He is the son of Super Parka, and his ring name refers to his father's previous gimmick, Volador. Ibarra is the nephew of the original La Parka, the cousin of El Hijo de L.A. Park and the uncle of Flyer; he is also related to a number of other luchadors in the Ibarra family.
José Christian Alvarado Ruiz is a Mexican retired Luchador or professional wrestler, better known by Máximo.
Fantastica Mania 2011 was the name of two professional wrestling major shows produced that took place on January 22 and January 23, 2011, in Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The event was the first ever co-promoted events between Japanese New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and the Mexican Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and features matches with wrestlers from both promotions and both NJPW and CMLL championships being defended.
William Arturo Muñoz González is a Mexican luchador, known under the ring name Rush. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he is the leader of La Facción Igobernable and a former member of The Don Callis Family. He is best known for his time performing for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) as well as the U.S. based Ring of Honor (ROH). Muñoz's father, Arturo Muñoz, is also a professional wrestler, most recently known under the ring name La Bestia del Ring. William's younger brothers are also professional wrestlers, using the ring names Dralístico and Dragon Lee. While most luchadors portray clear heroes or villains in the ring, Rush portrays a character that straddles that divide; his in-ring actions are often chaotic or brawling, with tendencies to cheat, but he is still popular with fans.

Titán is a Mexican luchador enmascarado currently signed to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), where he is the current CMLL World Welterweight Champion in his first reign. He also makes appearances for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). He portrays a tecnico wrestling character. Titan's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are concealed from the wrestling fans.
Luis Meza Casas, better known by the ring name Diamante, is a Mexican professional wrestler and former enmascarado predominantly working for Dragongate under the ring name Luis Mante. He is best known for his work in the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), where he portrayed a tecnico wrestling character. His former ring name is Spanish for Diamond.
Fantastica Mania 2013 is the name of three professional wrestling major shows that took place on January 18, 19 and 20, 2013 in Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. The event was the third ever co-promoted events between Japanese New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and the Mexican Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and featured matches with wrestlers from both promotions. 2013 was the first year that Fantastica Mania included three dates, compared to only two previously. The CMLL 80th Anniversary Show was a professional wrestling event produced by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) that took place on September 13, 2013, in CMLL's home arena Arena México in Mexico City, Mexico. The event commemorated the 80th anniversary of CMLL, the oldest professional wrestling promotion in the world. CMLL's anniversary show is their biggest, most important show of the year, comparable to the Super Bowl for the National Football League or WrestleMania for WWE. The CMLL Anniversary Show series is the longest-running annual professional wrestling show, starting in 1934.
Fantastica Mania 2014 was a series of five professional wrestling events co-produced by Japanese promotion New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and Mexican promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) taking place between January 15 and 19, 2014.
The 2012 En Busca de un Ídolo was a professional wrestling tournament held by Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and was the first tournament in what would become an annual tournament in CMLL. The purpose of the first tournament was to identify which of the 8 "Rookies" in the tournament would move up the ranks of the promotion. The tournament consisted of two rounds, first a round-robin tournament group round, with the top four point earners competing in an elimination tournament. Wrestlers could earn points in three ways, match results, judges points and points from an online poll available on the 'En Busca de un Ídolo website. The tournament ran from April 27 until May 25, 2012 and saw Titán win the tournament, partially due to a high number of fan votes.

Fantastica Mania 2016 was a series of six professional wrestling events in Japan, co-produced by the Japanese promotion New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and the Mexican promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), which took place between January 17 and 24, 2016. The 2016 shows were the sixth time that NJPW and CMLL had co-promoted shows in Japan under the Fantastica Mania name.

The tour took place between January 13 and 22, 2017, with shows taking place in Osaka, Matsuyama, Kyoto, Nagoya and Tokyo, Japan. The 2017 shows were the seventh time that NJPW and CMLL co-promoted shows in Japan under the Fantastica Mania name.

The tour took place between January 12 and 22, 2018, with shows taking place in Nagoya, Kyoto, Takamatsu, Osaka, Toyama and Tokyo, Japan. The 2018 tour was the eight time that NJPW and CMLL co-promoted shows in Japan under the Fantastica Mania name. With eight shows, the 2018 tour was the longest in Fantastica Mania history. The shows generally featured seven matches each night, with several shows being shown at least in part on SamuraiTV, and the last three shows were shown in full as part of the NJPW World streaming content.

Javier Márquez Gómez, better known by his ring name Dulce Gardenia, is a Mexican luchador. He is currently working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), as a técnico wrestling character. As Gardenia, Márquez portrays an exótico character, who is presented as effeminate and homosexual in the ring. His ring name is in part an homage to Dizzy Gardenia, who was one of the earliest exótico wrestlers in the 1940s.

The tour started on January 10 and ran until January 21, 2020, with shows taking place in Osaka, Ehime, Kyoto, Aichi, and four shows in Tokyo at Korakuen Hall.
