Throwback Throwdown is a professional wrestling Impact Plus event, produced by American professional wrestling promotion Impact Wrestling. The event was created in 2019 and since its inception, the event features wrestlers portraying 1980s characters and gimmicks in the fictional Impact Provincial Wrestling Federation (IPWF). Each event features talent from Impact competing in various professional wrestling match types. Due to the nature of the event, the storylines for Throwback Throwdown have been self-contained and independent from the rest of Impact's programming.

History

Throwback Throwdown is a professional wrestling event consisting of a main event and undercard that feature championship matches and other various matches. The first Throwback Throwdown was a special episode of Impact that aired on November 26, 2019 and saw wrestlers portraying 1980's characters and gimmicks in the fictional Impact Provincial Wrestling Federation (IPWF). [1] [2] Throwback Throwdown II was held at Davis Arena in Louisville, Kentucky on December 18, 2021 as an Impact Plus Monthly Special. [3] [4] On November 2, 2022, Impact announced that Throwback Throwdown III would take place on November 25 at Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina as a part of WrestleCade, with the matches from that event set to air on December 2 as an Impact Plus Monthly Special. [5] On September 26, 2023, Impact announced that Throwback Throwdown IV would take place on November 11 at Don Kolov Arena in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada as a television special. [6]

Sacrifice is a professional wrestling event held by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. It was originally held as a pay-per-view event between 2005 and 2014. The first Sacrifice event took place in August 2005. When event names were shuffled by TNA for 2006, the event was moved to May. Sacrifice has had a tradition of being the final round of tournaments. Sacrifice 2005 saw Samoa Joe defeat A.J. Styles to win the Super X Cup. Sacrifice 2006 was the final round of the World X Cup Tournament. Sacrifice 2008 continued the tradition with the finals of the Deuces Wild Tag Team Tournament. Sacrifice 2009 featured Beer Money, Inc. defeating The British Invasion in the finals of the Team 3D Invitational Tag Team Tournament. All events take place inside the Impact! Zone. On January 11, 2013, TNA announced that in 2013 will be only four PPVs, dropping Sacrifice. In 2016, Sacrifice was held as a special edition of Impact Wrestling and the promotion revived it as a monthly special for Impact Plus in 2020.

Lockdown was a professional wrestling event held by the American professional wrestling promotion TNA Wrestling. The event was first held in 2005 and was considered one of the flagship events in the company . The theme of the event was that the entire card would be contested inside a steel cage. Other matches on the card featured additional gimmicks added on to the steel cage format, such as the signature Lethal Lockdown match, and the Xscape and "Queen of the Cage" matches.

Against All Odds is an annual professional wrestling TNA+ event held by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. It was established in 2005 as TNA's fourth pay-per-view event as part of the inaugural series of monthly pay-per-views put on by the promotion, and held in February. All Against All Odds PPVs but one have been held at the Impact! Zone.

Victory Road is a professional wrestling TNA+ event held by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Victory Road was initially the first three-hour pay-per-view card held by the promotion in November 2004. In 2006, it became an annual pay-per-view for the month of July. All events except for the 2008 edition have been held inside the Impact Zone. It was announced in January 2011 that the event would be moved from July to March, switching places with TNA's traditional March PPV, Destination X.
