Ranakpur is a village located in Desuri tehsil near Sadri town in the Pali district of Rajasthan in western India. It is located between Jodhpur and Udaipur. 162 km from Jodhpur and 91 km from Udaipur, in a valley on the western side of the Aravalli Range. The Nearest Railway Station to reach Ranakpur is Falna and Rani railway station. Ranakpur is one of the most famous places to visit in Pali, Rajasthan. Ranakpur is easily accessed by road from Udaipur.
Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Rajsamand District of Rajasthan State in western India. It surrounds the Kumbhalgarh fortress and covers an area of 610.528 km2 (236 sq mi). The sanctuary extends across the Aravalli Range, covering parts of Rajsamand, Udaipur, and Pali districts, ranging from 500 to 1,300 metres in elevation. It is part of the Khathiar-Gir dry deciduous forests ecoregion.

Roopnagar is a village in the Udaipur section of Rajasthan. It is situated on the summit of the Aravallis, between the Desuri and Someshwar passes. Steep and precipitous hill-sides render the village unapproachable from the north and east. It is defended by outworks overlooking the plains and the Desuri pass on the west and south. Founded about 1772 by Thakur Veeramdeo, it is the principal seat of Solankis in Mewar, and is one of Greater 32 Nobles of Mewar court. The site was chosen solely for defence of the Pass of Desuri and Someshwar. There is no cultivation belonging to the town, nor is any revenue derived from it. Thakur of Roopnagar held the jagir of 84 villages on both sides of the Aravalli Range.
