Vaishno Devi is a manifestation of the Hindu mother goddess Durga. Vaishno Devi is worshipped as a combined avatar of the goddesses Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasarasvati or Bālā, Tripurasundarī and Bhairavī. Additionally, she is seen as the wife of Virūpākṣa or Shiva.
