Aims

The 20th Anniversary

To mark the 20th Anniversary of the late Princess's death, The Diana Award launched a series of events to commemorate her legacy. These included the creation of a National Kindness Day on 31 March 2017 to commemorate the anniversary of Diana, Princess of Wales' death and to encourage other people to carry out an act of kindness. [8]

The charity also held an inaugural Legacy Award Ceremony at St James's Palace, with the support of TRHs Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex to "recognise 20 exceptional young people who’ve created positive social change." [9] The Legacy Award now takes place every two years, celebrating the top 20 Diana Award Holders from that period.
