It is based on the 1934 Academy Awards winning American film It Happened One Night. The film stars Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen. This is the debut film of the legendary director Tarun Majumder and it is regarded as one of the best films pairing Uttam-Suchitra. The film became a huge success.

The film is based on a novel titled Bipasha by Sri Tarashankar Bandyopadhay.The story fleetingly describes the horror of riots in West Pakistan during the time of Partition of India. Bipasa was described as a victim of that riot in the film. However, the film deviates from the original novel and avoids describing Bipasha as a gang rape victim by Pakistani Islamist rioters.
Dui Purush is a 1945 Bengali language epic family drama film directed by Subodh Mitra. The film was produced by New Theatres and adapted from Tarashankar Bandyopadhyay's novel and popular stage play, with a screenplay by Binoy Chatterjee. The editing was done by Mitra, who was popularly known as Kachi Babu, and cited as one of the best editors in the film industry. The music director was Pankaj Mullick with lyrics by Sailen Roy. The cinematographers were Sudhin Majumdar and Yusuf Mulji. The cast included Chhabi Biswas, Chandrabati Devi, Sunanda Banerjee, Ahindra Choudhury, Tulsi Chakraborty, Jahar Ganguly, and Naresh Mitra.
Kamona (transl. desire) is a Bengali drama film directed by Nabendu Sundar. This movie was released on 4 March 1949 under the banner of Kirti Pictures. This is the second film of iconic legendary Bengali actor Uttam Kumar after Drishtidan and debut as the leading person crediting him as Uttam Chatterjee instead of Arun Kumar Chatterjee. But in 1960s when the film was re-released it became a huge blockbuster hit at the box office.

Netaji is a Bengali biographical soap opera on the life of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose that premiered on 14 January 2019 and aired on Bengali GEC Zee Bangla. Based majorly on Udyata Kharga Subhash by Achintya Kumar Sengupta and produced by Surinder Films, the series stars Abhishek Bose in the eponymous role, with Basabdatta Chatterjee, marking her comeback on television, Dhruvajyoti Sarkar, Kaushik Chakraborty, Sriparna Roy, Debopriyo Sarkar, Sohan Bandopadhyay, Fahim Mirza appearing in other recurring roles. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shooting of the series was stalled. It was rumoured that along with Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni, this series will be axed the channel. Putting rest to such rumours, the shooting started from June 11 and new episodes started to air from June 15, 2020. The show went off air on 1st August 2020.
Lakh Taka is a Bengali drama film directed by Niren Lahiri, and starring Uttam Kumar, Sabitri Chatterjee, Bhanu Banerjee, Chhabi Biswas and Jahor Roy. The music direction is by Shyamal Mitra and Niren Lahiri. It was released on 1 January 1953 under the banner of Satabdi Chitra Pratisthan.
Anjangarh is a 1948 Bollywood drama film, directed by Bimal Roy. It stars Sunanda Bannerjee, Tulsi Chakraborty, Raja Ganguly, Hiralal, and Bipin Gupta. Dialogues were written by M Bajpayee.
