Dolichognatha deelemanae is a species of spider in the family Tetragnathidae, found in Borneo. [1]
Long-jawed orb weavers or long jawed spiders (Tetragnathidae) is a family of araneomorph spiders first described by Anton Menge in 1866. They have elongated bodies, legs, and chelicerae, and build small orb webs with an open hub with few, wide-set radii and spirals with no signal line or retreat. Some species are often found in long vegetation near water.
Dolichognatha is a genus of tropical and subtropical long-jawed orb-weavers that was first described by Octavius Pickard-Cambridge in 1869. Originally placed with the Archaeidae, it was transferred to the Araneidae in 1967, and to the Tetragnathidae in 1981.
Prolochus is a possible genus of tropical spiders. As of September 2018, the World Spider Catalog does not accept the genus and treats it as a synonym of Dolichognatha, a genus in the family Tetragnathidae. In 2014, it was suggested that the genus be restored, and a newly discovered species was named as Prolochus junlitjri. Prolochus is said to have four main traits that distinguishes it from Dolichognatha: the total absence of posterior median eyes, a dorsal abdomen without dorsal humps, a distinct shape of abdomen and the palpal organ of the male.
Dolichognatha kampa is a species of spider in the family Tetragnathidae, found in Brazil.
Dolichognatha lodiculafaciens is a species of spider in the family Tetragnathidae, found in Guyana.
Dolichognatha mapia is a species of spiders in the family Tetragnathidae, found in Brazil.
Dolichognatha minuscula is a species of long-jawed orb weaver in the spider family Tetragnathidae. It is found in Guyana.
Dolichognatha pentagona, the longjawed orb weavers, is a species of long-jawed orb weaver in the spider family Tetragnathidae. It is found in the United States to Venezuela.
Dolichognatha pinheiral is a species of long-jawed orb weaver in the spider family Tetragnathidae. It is found in Brazil.
Dolichognatha proserpina is a species of long-jawed orb weaver in the spider family Tetragnathidae. It is found in Brazil.
Dolichognatha quadrituberculata is a species of long-jawed orb weaver in the spider family Tetragnathidae. It is found in Peru.
Dolichognatha raveni is a species of long-jawed orb weaver in the spider family Tetragnathidae. It is found in New Guinea and Australia (Queensland).
Dolichognatha umbrophila is a species of long-jawed orb weaver in the spider family Tetragnathidae. It is found in Taiwan and Japan.
Amaurobius deelemanae is a species of spider in the family Amaurobiidae, found in Greece, Crete.
Dolichognatha junlitjri is a species of orb-weaver spiders found in the Philippines. The species was discovered in Molawin Creek at Mount Makiling, and was described, illustrated and named by Aimee Lynn Barrion-Dupo and Alberto T. Barrion who published their discovery in 2014. They considered that the genus Prolochus, treated a synonym of Dolichognatha by sources such as the World Spider Catalog as of January 2021, should be revived. It would include Dolichognatha longiceps as Prolochus longiceps, and Prolochus junlitjri. However, a molecular phylogenetic study in 2018 did not support this, and placed the species in Dolichognatha, the placement accepted by the World Spider Catalog.
Dolichognatha longiceps is a species of spider in the family Tetragnathidae, found in India, Myanmar and Thailand. In 2014, it was suggested that the species be transferred back to the genus Prolochus, where it was placed by Tamerlan Thorell in 1895, but as of May 2016, this has not been accepted by secondary sources, such as the World Spider Catalog.
Dolichognatha quinquemucronata is a species of long-jawed orb weaver in the spider family Tetragnathidae. It is found in Sri Lanka.
Cryphoecina is a monotypic genus of Balkan araneomorph spiders in the family Cybaeidae containing the single species, Cryphoecina deelemanae. It was first described by C. Deltshev in 1997, and has only been found in Montenegro. The type genus was transferred to the Cybaeidae in 2017.
Christa Laetitia Deeleman-Reinhold is a Dutch arachnologist. She graduated from the Leiden University in 1978. She specializes in spiders from Southeast Asia and Southern Europe, particularly cave-dwelling and tropical spiders. She donated a collection of about 25,000 Southeast Asian spiders, the largest collection of Southeast Asian spiders in existence, to the Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden, The Netherlands. In addition to numerous articles, she has written the book Forest Spiders of South East Asia (2001). She is married to arachnologist Paul Robert Deeleman, with whom she has co-authored multiple publications.
