Madhusree Ghosh of The Times of India gave the movie 3 out of 5 stars and wrote, "Unfortunately, the director, riding high on the excitement of doing something mind-blowing, messes up that balance quite a few times. The weak and predictable plot also doesn't help things much." [2]

Shotru(Bengali: শত্রু ; English: Enemy) is a 2011 Indian Bengali-language action thriller film directed by Raj Chakraborty. The film was produced by Ashok Dhanuka under the banner of Eskay Movies. It stars Jeet, Supriyo Dutta and Nusrat Jahan in lead roles, while Kharaj Mukherjee, Dipankar De, Biswajit Chakraborty, Saayoni Ghosh, Raja Dutta and Biplab Chatterjee played other pivotal roles. It marks the debut of Nusrat Jahan. The soundtrack and background score was composed by Indraadip Dasgupta, with screenplay and dialogues written by Padmanabha Dasgupta and Abhimanyu Mukherjee. It is a remake of 2010 Tamil movie Singam.

<i>Challenge 2</i> 2012 Indian Bengali film by Raja Chanda

Challenge 2 is a 2012 Indian Bengali masala film co-written and directed by Raja Chanda. The story, screenplay and dialogues of the film were written by N. K. Salil. The movie is a remake of 2011 Telugu film Dookudu. which itself was inspired from German film Good Bye, Lenin! (2003). Produced by Shrikant Mohta under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films, it stars Dev and Puja Banerjee in lead roles, alongside Tapas Paul, Ashish Vidyarthi, Rajatava Dutta, Kharaj Mukherjee, Subhasish Mukherjee and Kaushik Chakraborty in other pivotal roles, with Biswanath Basu and Labani Sarkar in guest appearance. The film is a spiritual sequel to the 2009 film Challenge, but contains a very different storyline. It revolves around an undercover officer as well as IPS Abhiraj Roy, who is on a mission to bring down the dreaded don Guru Nayak. But all on a sudden tragically he transforms into an MLA to fulfill his father's wish, who was in coma after meeting an conspiring accident as he was an honest and celebrated politician amongst the masses. Major parts of the movie were shot in Malaysia and Dubai.

Byomkesh was a 2014 Indian Bengali crime fiction television series based on the Bengali sleuth Byomkesh Bakshi created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. The series starred Gaurav Chakrabarty, Saugata Bandyopadhyay and Ridhima Ghosh as Byomkesh Bakshi, Ajit and Satyabati respectively.
