Dorcadion rufogenum is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Reitter in 1895. It is known from China and Kazakhstan. [1]
Staphylinoidea is a superfamily of beetles. It is a very large and diverse group with worldwide distribution.
Carabus is a genus of beetles in the family Carabidae. The genus is highly diverse with 94 subgenera, 959 species and 2300 subspecies, thus is the largest genus in the subfamily Carabinae. The vast majority are native to the Palearctic, but 16 Nearctic species are also known. Carabus spp. are 12–50 mm (0.47–1.97 in) long, and most species are wingless and often very colourful. These are nocturnal, predatory beetles that feed on snails, earthworms, and caterpillars. Most Carabus species were thought to have inhabited the Eurasian forest, but the species' low dispersal abilities altered the distribution of lineages within the genus.
Harpalus is a genus of ground beetle first described by Pierre André Latreille in 1802.
Dynamopodinae is a very small subfamily of Scarabaeidae or scarab beetles, with only seven species in a two genera.
Cymindis is a genus of ground beetle native to the Palearctic, the Near East, and North Africa. It contains the following species:
Alexiidae is a family of beetles. It contains a single genus, Sphaerosoma, formerly included within the family Cerylonidae, with around 50 species which are native to the western Palearctic. Species of Sphaerosoma are very small, around 1 to 2 mm in length rounded beetles with clubbed antennae. They are fungivores, having been observed feeding on mushrooms, and have also been found in leaf litter and on decaying bark.
Byturidae, also known as fruitworms, are small family of cleroid beetles with over 15 described species, primarily distributed in the Holarctic and Southeast Asia. The larvae of at least some genera feed on fruit, such as Byturus, a notable commercial pest of Rubus consuming both the fruit and seeds, while others like Xerasia are associated with catkins. The adults are known to feed on developing leaves, flowers and pollen.
Salpingidae or narrow-waisted bark beetles is a family of beetles in the superfamily Tenebrionoidea. The species are small, about 1.5 – 7 mm in length. The family is globally distributed and consists of about 45 genera and 300 species, which are generally found in the temperate regions of both hemispheres. The family is mainly associated with plants as well as with ascomycete and hyphomycete fungi. Some members of the family are associated with unusual habitats, like Aegialites and Antarcticodomus, which are found in coastal areas including the intertidal zone, with former feeding on algae.
Acmaeoderella is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, containing the following species:
Thorictus is a genus of beetles in the family Dermestidae, containing the following species:
Dienerella is a genus of beetles in the family Latridiidae, containing the following species:
Hemicrepidius is a genus of click beetle belonging to the family Elateridae.
Dorcadion is a genus of longhorn beetles of the subfamily Lamiinae.
Dorcadion globithorax is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Jakovlev in 1895. It is known from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
Dorcadion carinatum is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Peter Simon Pallas in 1771, originally under the genus Cerambyx. It is known from Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, and Ukraine.
Dorcadion indutum is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Faldermann in 1837.
Dorcadion scabricolle is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Dalman in 1817. It is known from Azerbaijan, Iran, Armenia, and Turkey.
Dorcadion abakumovi is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Thomson in 1864.
Rhizotrogus is a genus of scarab beetles in the subfamily Melolonthinae.
Lepyrus is a genus of true weevils in the beetle family Curculionidae. There are more than 70 described species in Lepyrus.
