Doug Warren (born 17 July 2001) is an Australian cricketer who plays for Victoria as a left arm orthodox spin bowler. He is a left-handed batsman.
Warren was awarded a rookie contract with Victoria in May 2023. [2] This came after he made his debut for the Victoria Second XI in February 2023. [3]
He made his Sheffield Shield debut on 16 November 2023 for Victoria against Queensland. [4] Coach David Hussey called it an "impressive debut". [5] With first-choice spin bowler Todd Murphy injured,he retained his place for the following week's fixture against South Australia. [6]
Warren studied a Bachelor of Commerce at Melbourne University. [7] [8] [9]
Leslie O'Brien"Chuck" Fleetwood-Smith was a cricketer who played for Victoria and Australia. Known universally as "Chuck",he was the "wayward genius" of Australian cricket during the 1930s. A slow bowler who could spin the ball harder and further than his contemporaries,Fleetwood-Smith was regarded as a rare talent,but his cricket suffered from a lack of self-discipline that also characterised his personal life. He has the unwanted record of conceding the most runs by a bowler in a Test match innings.
Douglas Thomas Ring was an Australian cricketer who played for Victoria and for Australia in 13 Test matches between 1948 and 1953. In 129 first-class cricket matches,he took 426 wickets bowling leg spin,and he had a top score of 145 runs,which was the only century of his career.
