Dr. Bezbaruah 2 is an Indian Assamese-language suspense thriller film released on 3 February 2023. It is a sequel of Dr. Bezbarua , released 53 years prior. [3] Dr. Bezbaruah 2 was directed by late Assamese actor, Nipon Goswami, who was also the lead actor of Dr. Bezbarua. [4] The story, screenplay and dialogues are written by Rajdweep and music by Zubeen Garg. It was produced by Sanjive Narain and co-produced by Akshata Narain under the banner AM Television. The songs of the film originally composed by Ramen Barua were recreated by Zubeen Garg and Diganta Bharati.

Music were arranged by Zubeen Garg, Bhadra Kanta Das (BKD), Palash Surya Gogoi and Shekhar Jyoti Goswami.

Assamese cinema is the Indian film industry of Assamese language. It is based in Assam, India. The industry was born in 1935 when Jyoti Prasad Agarwala released his movie Joymoti. His most notable for his work in the 1969 film Dr. Bezbarua as well as Piyoli Phukan, Tumi Aahibaane and Aparoopa.

Rajdweep is an Indian screenwriter, playwright, lyricist and journalist hails from Dhing, Nagaon, Assam. He has been awarded by Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan for his script 'Ishqlogy' at Cinestaan India's Storyteller's Script Contest in 2018. He is the first lyricist from Assam who writes Assamese songs in Bollywood film. He wrote the songs 'Jiri Jiri' for the film A Death In The Gunj and the bihu song for the film Jagga Jasoos. Again, he becomes the first screenwriter from Assam who signed a Bollywood film. He signed the film on 21 October 2019.

Jonaki Mon is a 2002 Indian Assamese drama film directed by Jibanraj Barman and produced by Dinesh Kumar Rajkhowa.

Tumi Mur Mathu Mur is a 2000 Indian Assamese romantic-drama film directed by Zubeen Garg in his directorial debut and produced by Debo Borkotoky. It was released on 25 February 2000 opposite Munin Barua's romantic film Hiya Diya Niya.
