The Dragon Trophy is an annual international figure skating competition which is generally held in February in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Medals may be awarded in men's singles and women's singles at the senior, junior, and novice levels.

The Rostelecom Cup, previously known as the Cup of Russia, was an annual international figure skating competition held as part of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. It was organized by the Figure Skating Federation of Russia. Medals were awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance.

Tivoli City Park or simply Tivoli Park is the largest park in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is located on the western outskirts of the Center District, stretching to the Šiška District to the north, the Vič District to the south, and the Rožnik District to the west. Several notable buildings and art works stand in the park. Since 1984, the park has been protected as part of Tivoli–Rožnik Hill–Šiška Hill Nature Park. It is home to a variety of bird species.

It is named in honor of two-time World Championship gold medalists Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski, who competed internationally in ice dance for Bulgaria. In some years, the event is part of the ISU Challenger Series. Medals may be awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance at the senior and junior levels.
Matjaž Krušec is a Slovenian figure skating official and former competitor for Yugoslavia. He competed at the 1979 World Championships and four European Championships. He has served as an International Skating Union referee and international technical controller. He is the former president of the Stanko Bloudek Figure and Roller Skating Club in Ljubljana.
