Drama Juniors is an Indian Marathi language talent search reality television show airing on Zee Marathi. [1] This show features drama skit performances by children aged 2 to 14. [2] [3] It is judged by Amruta Khanvilkar and Sankarshan Karhade and hosted by Shreya Bugde. [4] [5]

Contents

The show was announced in December 2023 on Zee Marathi's social media handles, along with two other fiction series. [6] In early June 2024, a promotional announcement featuring Khanvilkar, Karhade, Bugde, and a few child actors was launched. [7] The series premiered with the Mega Auditions on 22 June 2024. [8] [9]

Concept

The show format is a captivating talent competition designed to discover and nurture young drama enthusiasts. Featuring a series of engaging acts, it tests the participants' creativity, spontaneity, and acting skills. This delightful showcase highlights the extraordinary talents of child actors, with performances that encompass acting, dancing, and various performing arts, all presented on a grand stage. Indian actress Amruta Khanvilkar primarily appears in Marathi and Hindi films. She began her career in 2004 as a contestant on the reality show Zee Cine Star ki Khoj and made her acting debut that same year in the Hindi short film Saanjh, presented by the Film and Television Institute of India. Khanvilkar made her film debut by playing the dual role in the Marathi-language film Golmaal (2006). The following year, she made her Bollywood debut with the drama Mumbai Salsa (2007), which proved to be average at the box office, but her next release comedy Saade Maade Teen, opposite Bharat Jadhav, was a huge commercial success. In 2008, she starred in the super hit supernatural horror film Phoonk and later reprised her role in its sequel, Phoonk 2, both opposite Kichcha Sudeep. Her sole film release in 2009 was the big budget Marathi film Gaiir.

Onkar Bhojane is an Indian actor, comedian who predominantly works in Marathi theatre, television and films. Bhojane known for his comedy characters played in Maharashtrachi Hasyajatra. His notable roles in movies such as Boyz 2 (2018), Boyz 3 (2022), Ghe Double (2022), and Girlz (2019) have established him as a prominent figure in the Marathi film industry. In 2023, he starred opposite Isha Keskar in the leading role in Sarla Ek Koti.

<i>Chandramukhi</i> (2022 soundtrack) 2022 soundtrack album by Ajay–Atul

Chandramukhi is the soundtrack to the 2022 Marathi film of the same name directed by Prasad Oak starring Amruta Khanvilkar in the titular role alongside Adinath Kothare and Mrunmayee Deshpande. The film's musical score and six-song soundtrack is composed by Ajay–Atul with lyrics written by Guru Thakur. With four songs preceded the album, the soundtrack to the film released on 28 April 2022 through Everest Entertainment, to positive response from critics and audience and received numerous accolades. The songs "Chandra" and "Bai Ga" were chartbusters.

<i>Like Aani Subscribe</i> 2024 Marathi murder mystery film

Like Aani Subscribe is a 2024 Indian Marathi-language suspense thriller film written and directed by Abhishek Merurkar, and produced by Merukar and Nitin Vaidya under the banners of Abhishek Merukar Productions and Nitin Vaidya Productions. The film stars Amey Wagh, Amruta Khanvilkar and Jui Bhagwat in the lead roles, while Vitthal Kale, Shubhankar Tawde and Pushkaraj Chirputkar plays pivotal roles. The story follows a youth-centric narrative set in the world of social media, where a vlogger accidentally captures a dead body on camera, leading to a chain of events that entangles other characters as they seek to uncover the truth behind the incident.
