Drishyam Films is an independent Indian film production company. It was founded by Manish Mundra [1] in 2014, and saw its first success with the release of the award-winning film Ankhon Dekhi in 2014. Other acclaimed releases include Umrika (2015 Sundance Audience Choice Award), Dhanak (2015 Berlinale Grand Jury Prize), and Masaan (2015 Cannes Film Festival Awards). [2]
In May 2017, Drishyam films launched a $20 million fund to produce eight to ten independent Indian films over the next two years. [3]

Malekudy Joseph Antony, better known as Antony Perumbavoor is an Indian film producer, distributor, cinema exhibitor and actor, who works in Malayalam film industry. He began his career as a chauffeur to Mohanlal in 1987 and started appearing in brief roles in Malayalam films in 1990s. In 2000, he established the film production house Aashirvad Cinemas, which exclusively produces Mohanlal films. It follows the struggle of Georgekutty and his family, who come under suspicion when Varun Prabhakar, the son of the IG Geetha Prabhakar, goes missing.

It is a remake of Jeethu Joseph's 2013 Malayalam film Drishyam and features Venkatesh, Meena and Nadhiya playing the respective roles played by Mohanlal, Meena and Asha Sharath in the original.
Papanasam is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language crime thriller film directed by Jeethu Joseph, a remake of his 2013 Malayalam film Drishyam, which starred Mohanlal. The film was jointly produced by Suresh Balaje and Rajkumar Sethupathi. It stars Kamal Haasan and Gautami, with Esther Anil, Asha Sarath and Roshan Basheer reprising their roles from the original film. Kalabhavan Mani, Nivetha Thomas and M. S. Bhaskar appear in supporting roles.

Later in 2022, the film was released in China, earning $4.05 million pushing its worldwide total over ₹147 crores.

Shiladitya Bora is an Indian film producer, director, marketer and distributor. He is the founder of Platoon One Films, a Mumbai-based film production studio. He started his film career by spearheading the indie release banner PVR Pictures' Directors' Rare, a limited release arm of India's biggest film exhibitor, PVR Cinemas group. As the first CEO of Drishyam Films, Bora served as an Associate Producer on critically acclaimed films like Masaan (2015) and Newton (2017). He helped develop Newton from a one-line pitch to a story and greenlit the film to production. Newton went on to be selected as India's official entry for the 90th Academy Awards. In 2017, Bora founded Platoon One Films, a Mumbai based production studio with his wife and costume designer Shilpi Agarwal. Platoon One Films' maiden Hindi production Yours Truly, directed by Sanjoy Nag, starring Soni Razdan, Pankaj Tripathi and Aahana Kumra, premiered at the Busan International Film Festival 2018 and travelled to many festivals worldwide. Platoon One Films then went on to produce the National Award-Winning Marathi film Picasso, directed by Abhijeet Warang and starring Prasad Oak. He is also the producer for 2023 Indian Marathi-language thriller drama, Ghaath which was nominated to compete for the Panorama Audience Award and GWFF Best First Feature Award at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival.

Esther Anil is an Indian actress who works primarily in the Malayalam-language films. She debuted her career as a child artist through the film Nallavan in 2010. She is best known for her role as Anumol George (Anu) in the 2013 drama-thriller film Drishyam and its sequel Drishyam 2, as well as Oolu in the 2020 fantasy film Oolu. Esther has won Kerala Film Critics Association Awards for the Best Child Artist in 2016. She reprised her role from Drishyam in the Telugu and Tamil remakes, Drushyam and Papanasam (2015), respectively. She played the heroine in the unreleased Tamil film Kuzhali. She played the lead role in Johaar, a Telugu film featuring debutantes.
