The tracks "I'll Run" and "Take My Hand" were re-recorded and included on The Cab's full-length debut album, Whisper War . The track "I'll Run" was also featured as a free download in demo quality on the band's Myspace.

It was originally released as a six-song EP, and fewer than 20,000 copies were pressed, as their label, Enigma Records, was unsure of the potential market for Christian metal. CCM Magazine was slightly critical, citing production quality and the short length of the release, but commented that "Stryper has the promise of a major success story." According to Michael Sweet's autobiography, the album was re-recorded and released as an official album, after their first manager, Daryn Hinton, loaned them $100,000 to re-produce the record. The album initially sold 150,000 units in the first three weeks.

The Cab is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Their debut album, Whisper War, was released on April 29, 2008. They have been called "The Band You Need to Know 2008" by Alternative Press magazine. They were also featured in the '100 Bands You Need to Know in 2010' by the magazine and were one of the three bands featured on the cover page, along with Never Shout Never and Hey Monday. Their second album Symphony Soldier was released on August 23, 2011, with its first single "Bad" released to iTunes July 11, 2011, and announced by the band on July 18. The Cab funded the entire album by themselves and left their Fueled by Ramen/Decaydance label, self-releasing Symphony Soldier. AbsolutePunk gave an extremely positive review with a rating of 95%, calling the album a "masterpiece". The pre-orders in the band's webstore featured eleven packages, ranging from $10 to $9,999. Symphony Soldier is digitally available on iTunes, and only available as physical CDs from the band's webstore. The band's latest work, an EP titled Lock Me Up, was released on April 29, 2014. They have not released any new material since 2014, leaving the future of the band uncertain.

Whisper War is the debut studio album by American rock band The Cab. It was released on April 29, 2008 by Fueled By Ramen/Decaydance Records. The album was produced by Patrick Stump, who also provides vocals on "Bounce", "One of Those Nights", "I'm a Wonder" and sings backing vocals on other songs. Lead singer Alexander DeLeon's younger sister, Sophia, is the little girl on the album cover.

They released their debut album Hold On Tight in 2008, which produced the singles "Homecoming" and "How You Love Me Now". Their final release, The Christmas EP, was released on December 6, 2011. The band is on hiatus and claims to not be "broken up". Symphony Soldier is the second and most recent studio album by American rock band The Cab. It was self released by the band on August 23, 2011. The Cab first rose to prominence at the peak of the mid-2000s emo pop trend with their debut album Whisper War (2008), which was promoted via national tours with Hey Monday and the Hush Sound. The following year, the band lost two members, including guitarist Ian Crawford and bassist Cash Colligan. In addition, the band soon parted ways with their original label, scene stalwart Fueled by Ramen.

Lock Me Up is the fourth EP by American rock band The Cab, released April 29, 2014 through Republic Records in the United States. The EP marks the band's first release since their second full-length studio album Symphony Soldier, released on August 23, 2011. In 2012, the band announced that they were in the studio writing and recording a new album and signed to Republic Records. The week prior to the EP's release, on April 24, Alex Marshall announced his departure from the band. In early April, the band teased a new single titled "Lock Me Up" on their official Instagram account, which was released on April 28, 2014. It debuted on the Billboard 200 at number 44, and on Digital Albums at number 11.
