Dubai Lifestyle City was a multi-purpose development project in the Dubailand area of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, covering over 4.15 million square feet. Dubai Lifestyle City at Dubailand was officially inaugurated in January 2006. Had it been completed, the development would have had 68 villas and 120 villettes (apartments), [1] golf course, auditorium, theatre, and sports and recreational facilities. The cost of the project was estimated to be Dh 2.4 billion. The project has now been cancelled.

Designed by the Beverly Hills designer Tony Ashai, Dubai Lifestyle City was envisioned as a Tuscan inspired gated community. [2] The objective of the Dubai Lifestyle City's developer ETA Star Group was to provide luxurious homes resembling those in Tuscany in Italy.

The project would have consisted of large family homes and a series of low-rise apartment buildings, containing only large apartments all surrounding a practice golf course.

The project would have had sports facilities, restaurants and cafes. The project has access to Emirates Road and Umm Suqeim Road. [3]

An infrastructure construction contract for Dh49 million was awarded in early 2008 to Saudi Binladin Group's Contracting Division. [4]

E-Living

Dubai Lifestyle City (DLC) had collaborated with Cisco and Microsoft to include home automation and networking technology throughout. Upon deploying the integrated system that connects all the units within the entire enclave with each other, the residents would have been able to enjoy home control and monitoring system, security features, a home theatre system, media entertainment, IP communication system and interactive community portal. Member's Club

The Member's Club was for Dubai Lifestyle City residents. It would have had fitness facilities, a swimming pool, a private courtyard, previewing theater, and a kid's zone.

Wall of Fame

The 'Wall of Fame' was inaugurated by Maria Sharapova, followed by Karan Johar and Jagjit Singh. It has hand prints of Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan. [6]

Falcon City of Wonders (FCW) is a Dubai-based real-estate project was founded in 2005. The project include international-themed villas, spacious apartments, shopping malls, hotels, business offices, fine-dining restaurants, health clubs, spas, nurseries, schools and parks. When viewed from above, the development resembles a falcon, the national bird of the UAE, with the Falcon Mall forming the head of the falcon. Universal Studios Dubailand was a proposed Universal Studios theme park in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. On October 27, 2016, officials announced the permanent cancellation of the project.

Dubai Sports City or DSC is a multi-venue sports complex in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, developed by Dubai. It is located in Al Hebiah 4. The government of Dubai took a decision to diversify from a trade-based, oil-reliant economy to one that is service and tourism-oriented. This has made real estate and other developments more valuable, thus resulting in a property boom from 2004 to 2006. Construction on a large scale has turned Dubai into one of the fastest-growing cities in the world. There are a number of large-scale projects which are currently under construction or are to be constructed in the future. Due to the heavy construction which is taking place in Dubai, 30,000 construction cranes, which are 25% of cranes worldwide, are operating in Dubai. Due to the burst of construction, Dubai has acquired various building-related records, which include: the world's tallest tower, the world's largest shopping mall, the world's largest fountain and the world's tallest hotel. Also under construction is Dubailand, which will be almost twice the size of the Walt Disney World Resort.

City of Arabia is a US$20 billion retail, residential, commercial and entertainment destination lying at the gateway to Dubailand, United Arab Emirates. Some parts of this project are being built.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jumeirah Beach Residence</span>

Jumeirah Beach Residence is a 1.7 kilometres (1.1 mi) long, 2 square kilometres (0.77 sq mi) gross floor area waterfront community located on the coast of the Persian Gulf in Dubai Marina in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is a residential development and contains 40 towers. JBR can accommodate about 15,000 people, living in its apartments and hotel rooms. The Project has 6,917 apartments, from 900 sq ft (84 m2) studios to 5,500 sq ft (510 m2) penthouses. JBR has a total of six residential blocks, Shams, Amwaj, Rimal, Bahar, Sadaf and Murjan. JBR is within walking distance to Dubai Marina, Dubai Tram and Dubai Metro.
