Rahmat Shah Zurmatai is an Afghan cricketer who plays for the Afghanistan national cricket team. He is a right-handed batsman and an occasional leg break bowler. He made his international debut in an ODI against Scotland in March 2013. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Afghanistan's first ever Test match, against India, in June 2018. In September 2019, in the one-off Test between Afghanistan and Bangladesh, Rahmat scored Afghanistan's first century in Test cricket.
The 2015–2017 ICC World Cricket League Championship was the second edition of the ICC World Cricket League Championship. It took place from 2015 until 2017, in parallel with the 2015-17 ICC Intercontinental Cup. Both Ireland and Afghanistan had been promoted to the main ICC ODI Championship and did not compete in this tournament. Instead, Kenya and Nepal were included in the tournament. The tournament was played in a round-robin format. All matches were recorded as List A matches, and those in which both teams had ODI status were also recorded as ODIs.
The Dutch cricket team toured the United Arab Emirates to play the United Arab Emirates between 21 January and 3 February 2016. The tour consisted of a first-class match two List A games and a Twenty20 International (T20I) match. The T20I match was in preparation for the World Twenty20 in India in March and the Netherlands won the one-off game by 84 runs. The first-class match was part of the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup and the List A games were part of the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship.
Shane Snater is a Zimbabwean-born Dutch cricketer. He made his first-class debut for the Netherlands against Afghanistan in the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup on 29 July 2016. He made his List A debut against Hong Kong in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship on 18 February 2017.

Out of the nine edition of the tournament that have been held, the team has participated in six editions. They qualified for their first T20 World Cup in 2009, but failed to make it to the next two editions. They made their reappearance at the tournament in 2014 and have qualified for every edition since then.
