EPZ (Bengali : ইপিজেড) is a thana under the Chittagong District in Chittagong Division, Bangladesh. [1]

Shah Amanat International Airport airport

Shah Amanat International Airport is an international airport serving Bangladesh's southeastern port city of Chittagong. Operated and maintained by the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, it is the second-largest international airport in Bangladesh after Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is used by the Bangladesh Air Force as a part of 'BAF Zahurul Haq Base'. It was formerly known as MA Hannan International Airport, named after Awami League politician M. A. Hannan, but was renamed on 2 April 2005 by the Government of Bangladesh, after an Islamic saint, Shah Amanat. It is capable of annually handling 1.5 million passengers and 6,000 tonnes of cargo. SAIA also serves as a base to Arirang Flying School.

The MA Aziz Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Chittagong, Bangladesh. The local cricket and football teams play there and it is sometimes used by the national football team of Bangladesh. Its total capacity is 30,000. On a historical note, this stadium was used as headquarters during the war for independence in 1971. The main cricket venue of the port city has been shifted to the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

Chittagong Hill Tracts conflict

The Chittagong Hill Tracts conflict was a political and armed conflict between the government of Bangladesh and the Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samiti and its armed wing, the Shanti Bahini, over the issue of autonomy and the land rights of Jumma people, Chakma people and the other indigenous of Chittagong Hill Tracts. Shanti Bahini launched an insurgency against government forces in 1977, when the country was under military rule, and the conflict continued for twenty years until the government and the PCJSS signed the Chittagong Hill Tracts Peace Accord in 1997.

Chittagong Abahani Limited is a sports club in Bangladesh.The club was established at Dhaka in 1972 through the reorganisation of Iqbal Sporting Club. Within a short time, the club gained fame through commendable performances in hockey, cricket and football tournaments. A wing of Abahani Limited was established in Chittagong known as Chittagong Abahani. It is currently a team of Bangladesh Premier League.
The team was relegated from Bangladesh Premier League in 2010–11 season. It again gained the promotion to Premier League by becoming champion of the 2013 Bangladesh Championship League. The club host Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup tournament every year in memory of their founder. They won the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2015. The 2013 Bangladesh Premier League season, also known as BPL 2 or Prime Bank BPL 2013, was the second season of the Bangladesh Premier League, established by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in 2012. The tournament began on 18 January 2013 and ended on 19 February. The competition featured seven teams, with the addition of the Rangpur Riders. Dhaka Gladiators became champions again by beating Chittagong Kings by 43 runs in the final.

Chittagong Circular Railway or Chittagong Metro Rail is a suburban railway system in the city of Chittagong in Bangladesh to ameliorate the commuters' suffering and improve traffic situation in the city. The construction was complete by February 2013 and it became operational by May the same year. The railway is served by high speed DEMU commuter trains, procured from China.
