EUMETNET (acronym of European Meteorological Network) is a network of 31 European National Meteorological Services based in Brussels, Belgium. It exists to provide a framework to organise co-operative programmes between the members in fields of meteorology, data processing and forecasting products.

Meteorological services of the following 33 countries are members of EUMETNET: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Montenegro, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, [1] Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, [1] Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, North Macedonia and the United Kingdom.

Cooperating non-member states

Cooperating non-member states are: Bulgaria, Israel and Moldova.

The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) is an independent intergovernmental organisation supported by most of the nations of Europe. The European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) or Conférence Européenne de l'Aviation Civile (CEAC) is an intergovernmental organization which was established by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Council of Europe. It is located in Neuilly-sur-Seine in France. Founded in 1955 with 19 member states, the ECAC now totals 44 members, including all 27 EU, 31 of the 32 European Aviation Safety Agency member states, and all 41 EUROCONTROL member states. ECAC "promotes the continued development of a safe, efficient and sustainable European air transport system. In doing so, it seeks to harmonise civil aviation policies and practices amongst its Member States and promote understanding on policy matters between its Member States and other parts of the world."

Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) is a channel allocation scheme specified for wireless LANs, commonly known as Wi-Fi. It is designed to prevent electromagnetic interference by avoiding co-channel operation with systems that predated Wi-Fi, such as military radar, satellite communication, and weather radar, and also to provide on aggregate a near-uniform loading of the spectrum. It was standardized in 2003 as part of IEEE 802.11h.

The Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium is a Belgian federal institute engaged in scientific research in the field of meteorology. The institute is a member of the World Meteorological Organization, of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, of EUMETSAT, and of the EIG Eumetnet.

Meteoalarm is a website developed by EUMETNET, a network of European national meteorological services. It provides severe weather warnings using maps to show where and which type of dangerous weather events are forecasted to occur. The level of risk is color-coded based on likely damage, disruption, and danger and displayed for each region of each country.

HNMS was founded in 1931 under the Ministry of Aviation and its mission was to cover all the meteorological and climatological needs of the country. It is based at the former Athens International Airport at Elliniko, and operates under the auspices of the Hellenic Air Force, staffed by both military and civilian personnel.
