Nsukka is a town and a Local Government Area in Enugu State,Nigeria. Nsukka shares a common border as a town with Edem,Opi,Ede-Oballa,and Obimo.
The University of Nigeria,commonly referred to as UNN,is a federal university located in Nsukka,Enugu State,Eastern part of Nigeria. Founded in 1955 by Nnamdi Azikiwe who was the Governor General of Nigeria between 1960 and 1963,and first President of Nigeria between 1963 and 1966. The University of Nigeria Nsukka was formally opened on 7 October 1960. The University of Nigeria has three campuses in Enugu State–Nsukka,Enugu,and Ituku-Ozalla –and the Aba campus in Abia State.

Njeze was previously appointed Nigerian minister of Aviation on 6 April 2010,when Acting President Goodluck Jonathan announced his new cabinet. Before that appointment,she served as Minister of State for Agriculture and Water Resources and also Minister of State for Defence in the cabinet of late President Umaru Yar'Adua.

The Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education,Owerri,formerly the Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education,Owerri is located in Owerri,the capital of Imo State,Nigeria. It was established in April 1963 as the Advanced Teachers Training College by the defunct Eastern Nigeria Government on the grounds of the Old Shell Camp,Owerri. It has since expanded across the Orlu Road on the banks of the Nworie River. It awards the National Certificate in Education (NCE) and the Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) and,in affiliation,with the University of Nigeria,Nsukka the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) since 1984. The university is headed by Dr. (Mrs.) Stella Ngozi Lemchi,the Acting Vice-Chancellor (Administration) who was the erstwhile Provost of the college. She took over,in 2022,from Dr. Dan C. Anyanwu. Dr (Mrs.) Lemchi is the second female Provost of the college,after Professor Blessing C. Ijioma.
Chinwe Nwogo Ezeani,is a Nigerian Chartered Librarian and the immediate past University Librarian of Nnamdi Azikiwe Library,University of Nigeria,Nsukka (U.N.N.). She is a Professor of Library and Information Science. Her tenure as a University Librarian (UL) at Nnamdi Azikiwe Library was between March 2014-March 2019. She is the first female University Librarian since the inception of Nnamdi Azikiwe Library,University of Nigeria Nsukka. In April,2021,Dr. Ilo Promise Ifeoma took over as the current University Librarian of Nnamdi Azikiwe Library,(U.N.N)
Nancy Ekwulira Achebe is a Nigerian professor of library and information science. She is the first vice president of the Nigerian School Library Association (NSLA) and the current head of the department of Library and Information Science at the University of Nigeria,Nsukka (UNN). She has also been the director of the School of General Studies at UNN,and has published about 70 articles in journals and newspapers.

Sonny Angus Nnaemeka Dixie Chidebelu is a Nigerian professor of Agricultural economics (Agribusiness) from the Faculty of Agriculture,University of Nigeria,Nsukka. He is a two times head of Department of Agriculture and a member of the Nigerian Academy of Science.
Florence Onyebuchi Orabueze is a poet,writer and a Nigerian professor of English and literary studies. She was a former director of the Institute of African studies of the institution,the founder of the Grace Uzoma Okonkwo Foundation and a member of Nigerian Academy of Letters.

Nkemakonam Nwolisa Osadebe (1955–2015) was a Nigerian academic professor of engineering at the University of Nigeria,Nsukka. His researches has been cited in publications and practices involving civil engineering in Nigeria. He was the acting head of the civil engineering department in UNN from 1993 to 1996. From 2004 until 2008,he served as the director of the National Equipment Maintenance and Development Centre (NEMDC),an organisation in the university. Osadebe has held positions in the Nigerian educational system including Dean,Faculty of Engineering (2008–2010),chairman,University of Nigeria Secondary School,Nsukka Campus Board of Governors from 2004 to 2007. In 2008,he earned the Vice-Chancellor's Award.
Emeka Mamah (Ideh) is a Nigerian entrepreneur and politician who served as commissioner for environment and mineral resources,Enugu State from 2018 to 2019,and commissioner for chieftaincy and rural development from 2020 to 2023. He also served as special adviser on transport to the governor of Enugu State in 2010. Mamah is the group managing director,Ifesinachi transport limited and a prince of the Ugbaike Kingdom of Igbo-Eze North LGA of Enugu State.
