Eisha Singh (born 24 December 1998) [1] is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Hindi television. She began her acting career in 2015 with Colors TV's soap Ishq Ka Rang Safed where she portrayed a widow Dhaani Awasthi. [2] Singh is best known for portraying Zara Siddiqui in Zee TV's popular romantic Ishq Subhan Allah . [3] She played Suhani Sharma Oberoi in Colors TV's serial Sirf Tum and Bela in Bekaboo . [4] [5]

Early life

Singh was born on 24 December 1998 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. [6] [7]

Career

Debut (2015–2016)

At the age of 17, Singh made her television debut in 2015 as Dhaani Tripathi (née Awasthi), a widow with whom an unmarried boy falls in love in Ishq Ka Rang Safed opposite Mishal Raheja. Unable to play a mother after a 5 year-leap was introduced, she quit in May 2016 and was replaced by Sanjeeda Sheikh. [8]

Breakthrough and success (2016–2020)

From 2016 to 2017, Singh starred opposite Sartaj Gill in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani . [9] She played three characters: Raani Singh, a princess; then Rani Chauhan, Raani's reincarnated version; and lastly Naina, Rani's lookalike. [10]

In 2018, Singh portrayed Zara Siddiqui, in the social drama Ishq Subhan Allah opposite Adnan Khan. [11] The show ended in 2020. The show dealt with the sensitive and burning issue of Triple Talaq. Singh also addressed Islamic social issues through her character for public outreach of the Zee TV campaign Galat Galat Galat through Zara Ka Nazariya to share stories and videos about her point of view. She used her character "Zara Siddiqui" as alias to address contemporary social issues through YouTube, Instagram and Twitter as platforms to reach out to people. [12] [13] [14]

Recent work and movie debut (2020–present)

In 2020, she played Preet in an episode of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya . [15] In 2021, she appeared in the music video "Main Tera Ho Gaya". From 2021 to 2022, Singh portrayed the role of Suhani, on Colors TV's romantic drama. In 2023, Singh portrayed the role of Bela Raichand a Rajpari of Parilok reincarnation of devlekha opposite Shalin Bhanot in a supernatural drama Bekaaboo lasting for 4 months on Colors TV. [16]

Singh made her Hindi film debut with Ratnaa Sinha's Middle Class Love alongside Prit Kamani in 2022. [17]

Ishq Subhan Allah is an Indian television series that premiered on 14 March 2018 on Zee TV. Produced by Dheeraj Kumar, it starred Eisha Singh and Adnan Khan. Set against a Muslim backdrop, it addressed contemporary political, religious and social issues including Triple talaq and Sharia law and aimed to dispel wrong notions about Islam. It replaced Woh Apna Sa in its slot that took over a time slot change. It has been replaced by Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare in its timeslot.

Ram Pyaare Sirf Humare is an Indian sitcom television series that premiered on 5 October 2020 on Zee TV. This shows involves Dulari, a young woman, is proud of having landed a charming husband, Ram. Middle Class Love is an Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Ratnaa Sinha and based on a script jointly written by Ratnaa Sinha, Yash Keswani, Sima Agarwal and Suraj Gianani from a story by Ratnaa Sinha. Produced by Anubhav Sinha under the banner of Benaras Media Works in association with Zee Studios, which also serves as distributor, it stars Eisha Singh, Kavya Thapar and Prit Kamani.
