Ekkhard Schmidt-Opper (born 29 January 1961) is a German former field hockey player who competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics and in the 1988 Summer Olympics. [1]

Following German reunification in 1990, a single German team competed in the 1992 Summer Olympics. 347 competitors, 244 men and 103 women, took part in 194 events in 24 sports.
