Elena Tornikidou (born 27 May 1965) is an Uzbekistani-Russian former basketball player who competed in the 1992 Summer Olympics. [1] She played for the Detroit Shock of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) from 1999 to 2001. [2]
Elena Delle Donne is an American professional basketball player for the Washington Mystics of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Delle Donne played a successful college basketball career for the Delaware Blue Hens from 2009 to 2013. She was drafted by the Chicago Sky with the 2nd overall pick of the 2013 WNBA Draft, and led the Sky to the 2014 WNBA Finals, where they would be defeated by the eventual champions, the Phoenix Mercury. She would later be traded to the Washington Mystics and lead them to their first WNBA Championship in franchise history in 2019. Delle Donne has won two WNBA Most Valuable Player Awards, been selected to six all-star teams and became the first WNBA player to join the 50-40-90 club.

The "50–40–90 club" is an informal statistic used to rate athletes in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). It requires a player to achieve the following minimum stats : 50 percent field goal percentage, 40 percent three-point field goal percentage and 90 percent free throw percentage; to be achieved at the end of the regular season. To qualify, a player must record a minimum of: 300 field goals, 82 three-pointers and 125 free throws. In NBA and WNBA history, only nine players have recorded a 50–40–90 season. Its latest entry, the WNBA's first, was in 2019.
