The Embassy of Canada to Ukraine in Kyiv is the diplomatic mission of Canada to Ukraine.
Canada was the first western nation to recognize Ukraine's independence on December 2, 1991. The existence of a large Ukrainian-Canadian community has led to continued close relations between the two nations. The Embassy of Canada to Ukraine was established on May 3, 1992. The Consulate of Canada in Lviv provides services to western Ukraine. [1]
The Canadian embassy in Kyiv provides essential services to both Canadians and Ukrainians. Canadian citizens can contact the Canadian embassy if they are in need of medical assistance, notarial services, legal services, passport services or citizenship applications, registration of Canadians residing in Ukraine, information about local regulations, emergency services, financial assistance, money transfers, marriage, divorce and death certificates, assistance for arrested or detained Canadians, information on the whereabouts and well-being of Canadians in Ukraine, and information about child abduction and custody.
Since 20 November 2014 the Australian Embassy to Ukraine has been co-located in the same building under an agreement with the Government of Canada. [2] [3]
On 1 February 2014, an embassy staffer's car was torched after she attended anti-government rallies in the city. [4]
On 18 February 2014, Russian news agency TASS reported that Oleh Tatarov, the deputy head of Ukraine’s Interior Ministry main investigative department, told of attacks on the Canadian embassy in Kyiv by "a group of unidentified persons armed with sticks". [5] It was later revealed that demonstrators had sought refuge at the embassy with a representative of Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs stating that the protesters had been "peaceful". [6]
The embassy was closed after authorities stormed a camp of activists which triggered clashes that killed at least 26 people. A recorded message on the embassy’s phone lines cited security reasons. It said that embassy staff would continue to provide consular services, and asked Canadians in the country to contact the department if in need of help. [7]
On 12 February 2022, the embassy was temporarily relocated to Lviv, as fears mounted of a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine. [8] [9] The embassy was returned to Kyiv on 8 May and was reopened by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during a visit to the city. [10]
Bilateral diplomatic relations exist between Ukraine and Armenia. Diplomatic relations were established on December 25, 1991. Currently, Ukraine has the 5th largest Armenian community in the world. The Embassy of Armenia in Kyiv opened in 1993. The Embassy of Ukraine in Yerevan opened in 1996. The current Ambassador of Armenia to Ukraine is Andranik Manukyan. The current Ambassador of Ukraine to Armenia is Ivan Khukhta.

Greece and Ukraine have deep ties due to Orthodox Christianity and enjoy strong diplomatic relations, due to Greece’s active diplomatic support for Ukraine over the Annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation. Greece is also one of the main supporters of Ukraine’s entry into NATO and the European Union. Greece recognized Ukraine on December 31, 1991. Both countries established diplomatic relations in 1992. Greece opened an embassy in Kyiv in 1993, general-consulates were set up in Mariupol and Odesa. Ukraine has opened an embassy in Athens and since April 2004 a general-consulate in Thessaloniki. Both countries are full members of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. There is a large Greek community living in Ukraine. Ukraine was first settled by the Greeks as early as 500 B.C. The Ukrainian city of Odesa was founded by ancient Greek colonists, being also the place where the Filiki Eteria secret organization was founded.
Diplomatic relations between Australia and Ukraine were established in 1992. Ukraine has had an embassy in Canberra since March 2003 and the Australian Embassy in Kyiv was established in December 2014, however, Australia closed its embassy in Kyiv in February 2022 due to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

North Macedonia–Ukraine relations refers to the bilateral relations of the Republic of North Macedonia and Ukraine. There is an embassy of North Macedonia in Kyiv, while Ukraine maintains an embassy in Skopje. Ukraine also has a consulate in the Macedonian city of Bitola. Over the years, there have been several efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries. North Macedonia provided military aid to Ukraine during the 2022 Russian invasion.
The diplomatic relations between Albania and Ukraine were established in 1922. In September 2020, Ukraine opened an embassy in Tirana. Albania is accredited to Ukraine from its embassy in Warsaw, Poland and has an honorary consulate in Kharkiv.
