Esko Tapani Rechardt (born 9 May 1958 in Helsinki) is a Finnish sailor and Olympic champion. He won a gold medal in the Finn class at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. [1] [2]

He sailed on Martela OF during the 1989–90 Whitbread Round the World Race.

Biography

Rechardt has a master's degree in engineering, and after his sporting career has designed bridges, such as the bridge connecting the Korkeasaari zoo to Helsinki mainland. [3]

The 1980 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXII Olympiad, were an international multi-sport event held in Moscow, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union from 19 July to 3 August. A total of 5,179 athletes representing 80 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) participated in 203 events in 22 sports. They were the first Games to be staged in a communist nation.

Wilhelm "Willi" Wülbeck is a retired German middle-distance runner. Competing in the 800 m he finished fourth at the 1976 Summer Olympics. He also finished eighth at the 1974 and 1982 European Championships.

Agberto João Conceição Guimarães is a former Brazilian middle distance runner who competed at the international level in the 1980s. He set a personal best 800 metres time of 1:43.63 min in Koblenz 1984, a performance which made him temporarily the second-fastest South American 800m runner ever.

As of September 2013, Lindgren is ranked no. 304 in the world for two-person dinghy class by the International Sailing Federation.
