Etiandro Igualdin Tavares (born July 24, 1993) is a Bissau-Guinean footballer who last played as a forward for FC Tucson in USL League One. [1]

Early life

Tavares grew up in Guinea-Bissau during the nation's civil war before he moved to Santa Rosa, California, at the age of 11, later settling in Windsor, California. [2] He initially did not speak English, but was able to communicate with Spanish-speaking children in his native Portuguese. [2] Tavares attended Windsor High School. [2]

Career

Professional

On March 6, 2015, it was announced that Tavares signed a professional contract with USL club Real Monarchs SLC. [3] On March 22, he made his professional debut in a 0–0 draw against LA Galaxy II. [4]
