Everton Hugh Mattis (born 11 April 1957) is a former West Indian cricketer who played in four Tests and two ODIs in 1981. [1] In his maiden ODI,he scored a gritty 62 against England at Kingstown,St. Vincent. In the same match,West Indian pacer Collin Croft demolished the Englishmen with a figure of 9-4-15-6 to help the West Indies to defend the total of 127 and to win the match by 2 runs.
Mattis' international career came to an end after he joined the rebel tours to South Africa in 1982-83 and 1983-84,defying the international sporting boycott of the apartheid state. [1] [2]

The South African rebel tours were a series of seven cricket tours staged between 1982 and 1990. They were known as the rebel tours because the international cricketing bodies banned South Africa from competitive international cricket throughout this period because of apartheid. As such the tours were organised and conducted in spite of the express disapproval of national cricket boards and governments,the International Cricket Conference and international organisations such as the United Nations. Virender Sehwagpronunciation (help·info) is a former Indian cricketer who represented India from 1999 to 2013. Widely regarded as one of the most destructive openers,he played for Delhi Capitals in IPL and Delhi and Haryana in Indian domestic cricket. He played his first One Day International in 1999 and joined the Indian test side in 2001. In April 2009,Sehwag became the first Indian to be honoured as the Wisden Leading Cricketer in the World for his performance in 2008,subsequently becoming the first player of any nationality to retain the award for 2009. He worked as stand-in captain occasionally during absence of main captain of India,also worked as Vice-Captain for Indian squad. He is former captain of Delhi Daredevils and Delhi Ranji Team. During his time with India,Sehwag was a member of the team that was one of the joint winners of the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy,the winners of the 2007 T20 World Cup,and the winners of the 2011 Cricket World Cup. During the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy,Sehwag was the highest run scorer with 271 runs.
Jason Omar Holder is a Barbadian cricketer and the former captain of the West Indies cricket team. He is a right arm medium-fast bowling all-rounder who features in all three cricketing formats. In January 2019,he was ranked as the number one all rounder in the world according to the official ICC Test rankings. In August 2019,Cricket West Indies named him as the Test Player of the Year and on 14 April 2021,Holder was named one of Wisden's Five Cricketers of the Year. Holder is the first West Indian male cricketer to take a hat-trick in a T20i,and the fifth,to achieve both 2000 runs and 100 wickets in one day internationals. He also the second west indian,after Garfield Sobers,to attain both 2500 runs and 150 wickets in test match cricket. Holder was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2016 T20 World Cup.
Shai Diego Hope is a West Indian cricketer,who plays as a wicketkeeper/batsman for the West Indies cricket team. He is also the current ODI captain of the Windies. In June 2018,he was named the Men's Cricketer of the Year,Test Cricketer of the Year and the ODI Cricketer of the Year at the annual Cricket West Indies' Awards. The following year,he was named the CWI ODI Player of the Year. He is generally regarded as one of the best ODI batsmen in the contemporary cricketing world. Hope has also twice been named,for both 2020 and 2022,in the ICC ODI Team of the Year.
The 2016 West Indies Tri-Series was a One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament held in the West Indies in June 2016. It was a tri-nation series between the national representative cricket teams of the West Indies,Australia and South Africa. All the matches were played under lights and it was the first time a series in the Caribbean had all the matches played as day-night games. Australia won the tournament by defeating the West Indies by 58 runs in the final.
