Everton Hugh Mattis (born 11 April 1957) is a former West Indian cricketer who played in four Tests and two ODIs in 1981. [1] In his maiden ODI,he scored a gritty 62 against England at Kingstown,St. Vincent. In the same match,West Indian pacer Collin Croft demolished the Englishmen with a figure of 9-4-15-6 to help the West Indies to defend the total of 127 and to win the match by 2 runs.
Mattis' international career came to an end after he joined the rebel tours to South Africa in 1982-83 and 1983-84,defying the international sporting boycott of the apartheid state. [1] [2]

Jerome Everton Taylor is a Jamaican cricketer who has played as a fast bowler for the West Indies. Taylor eventually picked up 100 wickets for the Windies in both tests and odis. During 2017 he reversed an initial decision to retire from international cricket. Taylor has also featured for Jamaica,English sides Somerset,Leicestershire and Sussex,CPL teams St Lucia Zouks and Jamaica Tallawahs and IPL sides Pune Warriors and Mumbai Indians in his cricketing career. Taylor was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2016 T20 World Cup. He is the only bowler to have ever taken a hat-trick in a Champions Trophy match,which he did in the 2006 tournament against Australia,and that was the first hat-trick taken by a West Indian bowler in the ODI format.
Marlon Nathaniel Samuels is a Jamaican former cricketer who played internationally for the West Indies in all three formats,and a former ODI captain. He is a right-handed middle order batsman and an off-spinner. He was a key member of the West Indies team that won the 2012 ICC World Twenty20 and 2016 ICC World Twenty20,and was named man of the match in the final of both tournaments,becoming the first man to achieve the feat,and to this date remains the only man to do so.

The South African rebel tours were a series of seven cricket tours staged between 1982 and 1990. They were known as the rebel tours because the international cricketing bodies banned South Africa from competitive international cricket throughout this period because of apartheid. As such the tours were organised and conducted in spite of the express disapproval of national cricket boards and governments,the International Cricket Conference and international organisations such as the United Nations. The tours were the subject of enormous contemporaneous controversy and remain a sensitive topic throughout the cricket-playing world.

In August 2019,Cricket West Indies named him as the Test Player of the Year and on 14 April 2021,Holder was named one of Wisden's Five Cricketers of the Year. Holder is the first West Indian male cricketer to take a hat-trick in a T20I,and the fifth,to achieve both 2000 runs and 100 wickets in one day internationals. He is also the second West Indian,after Sir Garfield Sobers,to attain both 2500 runs and 150 wickets in test match cricket. Holder was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2016 T20 World Cup.
Thomas Kevin Curran,is an English cricketer who represents England in Test matches,One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals. He plays for Surrey County Cricket Club in English domestic cricket. He is a right-arm fast-medium bowling all-rounder. He made his international debut for England in June 2017. He is the son of former Zimbabwe international cricketer Kevin Curran,and the brother of both Zimbabwe batsman Ben Curran and England and Surrey all-rounder Sam Curran.
Shai Diego Hope is a Barbadian cricketer,who plays as a wicketkeeper/batsman for the West Indies cricket team. He is also the current ODI captain of the Windies. In June 2018,he was named the Men's Cricketer of the Year,Test Cricketer of the Year and the ODI Cricketer of the Year at the annual Cricket West Indies' Awards. The following year,he was named the CWI ODI Player of the Year. He is generally regarded as one of the best ODI batsmen in the contemporary cricketing world. Hope has also twice been named,for both 2020 and 2022,in the ICC ODI Team of the Year.
