Federal Donuts is an American fast food chain serving donuts, coffee, and fried chicken. The chain is based in Philadelphia, and is owned by Michael Solomonov.
The founders were inspired to open the restaurant by Philadelphia-based Cafe Soho, which serves Korean fried chicken. The first location was opened in Pennsport in 2011, and As of 2018 [update] , the company has six locations, in addition to stands in Citizens Bank Park. [1] A Miami branch opened in 2017 and closed in 2018. [2] [3]
In 2024, the chain relocated its flagship location from 1219 South 2nd Street to 22 Wolf Street in South Philadelphia (next to 2300 Arena). [4]
Locations serve donuts, chicken, and coffee. Founder Tom Henneman has referred to these three items as "...the three comforts". [5] The restaurant introduced a breakfast sandwich in 2019. [6] In 2022, the restaurant switched from serving bone-in chicken to boneless chicken tenders in its fried-chicken combo. [7]

Gino's Hamburgers was a fast-food restaurant chain founded in Baltimore, Maryland by Baltimore Colts defensive end Gino Marchetti and running back Alan Ameche, along with their close friends Joe Campanella, who played linebacker for six seasons for the Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Colts and Louis Fischer, in 1957. His first restaurant Zahav, founded in 2008, has received national recognition including the James Beard Foundation "Outstanding Restaurant" in 2019. Solomonov was also awarded Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic in 2011, Cookbook of the Year in 2016, and Outstanding Chef in 2017 from the James Beard Foundation. In 2021, The New York Times named his restaurant Laser Wolf as one of "the 50 places in America we're most excited about right now."
