Floris Middendorp (born 4 June 2001) [2] is a Dutch field hockey player who plays as a midfielder or forward for Hoofdklasse club Amsterdam and the Netherlands national team.
Middendorp started playing hockey at Hattem, where he debuted in the first team when he was 15. In 2019 he moved to Amsterdam. [3] He was named co-captain of the team with Boris Burkhardt for the 2024–25 season. [4]
Initially Middendorp was not called up for the 2023 EuroHockey Championship, after Tjep Hoedemakers sustained an injury before the tournament, Middendorp was named as his replacement. [5] He represented the Netherlands at the 2024 Summer Olympics where they won the gold medal in the field hockey tournament.
Floris Maarten Alphons Maria Evers is a field hockey player from the Netherlands, who won the silver medal with the Dutch national team at the 2004 Summer Olympics and at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He was the captain of the team at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He has played in all the top leagues the world of field hockey. After the London Olympics, along with Teun de Noijer, he retired from international hockey. In 2013, he played with the Ranchi Rhinos in the Indian hockey league.
