Jeroen Petrus Maria Delmee (born March 8, 1973, in Boxtel) is a field hockey player from the Netherlands. Delmee was an Olympic champion for the Netherlands in the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics. [1] After working as head coach of Dutch field hockey club Tilburg and head coach of the France men's national team (2017–2021), he started as the head coach of the Netherlands men's national team in september 2021. [2]
The Netherlands competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, from 13 to 29 August 2004. Dutch athletes have competed in every Summer Olympic Games since its official debut in 1908. Netherlands, however, boycotted the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, because of the Soviet invasion of Hungary. The Netherlands National Olympic Committee sent a total of 210 athletes to the Games, 134 men and 76 women, to compete in 21 sports. Baseball, field hockey, and men's volleyball were the only team-based sports in which the Netherlands had its representation at these Games. There was only a single competitor in women's fencing.

Alyson Regina Annan is an Australian field hockey coach and retired field hockey player, who earned a total number of 228 international caps for the Women's National Team, in which she scored 166 goals. Since 2022, she is also the current head coach of the China women's national field hockey team.

The Netherlands competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, People's Republic of China. This was announced in an official statement on the NOC*NSF website. In the statement they named the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games as a highlight in sports to which a lot of sportspeople, coaches and the Dutch sports fans would look forward. The Netherlands aimed for a top 10 nations ranking in the Olympics as well as a top 25 ranking in the Paralympics; they ended up ranking 12th at the Games.

Two reserve players could also be nominated to be available should a player enrolled in the official squad become injured during the tournament. Official squad lists were released by the FIH on 24 July 2008.
Jacob "Jaap" Stockmann is a retired Dutch field hockey player, who played as a goalkeeper for the Dutch national team. Stockmann was announced FIH Best Goalkeeper of the World in 2014.
Jahangir Butt was a Pakistani field hockey player. He was born in Gujranwala, Punjab, British India. He won a gold medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, and a silver medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich.
Greg Nicol is a South African former field hockey player who competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics and in the 2004 Summer Olympics. On 23 December 2021 he was announced as the new head coach of the New Zealand men's national team.Greg Nicol served as assistant coach, in various forms, since 2006 for the Vantage Black Sticks Men’s (VBS) at the Beijing Olympics, and then at the Rio Olympics in 2016. He was also an assistant coach for the VBS Women at the London Olympics in 2012. In 2017 Nicol took on the challenge of a newly created role as the Athlete Pathway Manager. In this role he was successful in laying the foundations for a national talent development system for hockey in New Zealand for which HNZ are now reaping the benefits. Nicol left this position to pursue other opportunities in 2019.
