Argentina–Spain relations are the bilateral relations between the Argentine Republic and the Kingdom of Spain. Since a great portion of the immigrants to Argentina before the mid-19th century were of Spanish descent, the large majority of Argentines are at least partly of Spanish ancestry. Also, a significant part of the late-19th century/early-20th century immigrants to Argentina were Spaniards. Both nations are members of the Organization of Ibero-American States and the United Nations.
The Democratic Party is a conservative political party in Argentina created in 1931. Founded as the National Democratic Party, it was generally known simply as Conservative Party. It is considered the successor of the National Autonomist Party (PAN), which disappeared in 1916. The Law to Promote Access to Formal Employment for Travestis, and Transsexual and Transgender People "Diana Sacayán – Lohana Berkins", identified as the Law 27,636, is a law in Argentina that establishes that the national public sector must reserve at least 1% of its positions and vacancies for trans people, and encourages the private sector to take similar measures. It was passed by the Argentine Senate on 24 June 2021, and enacted on 8 July 2021, during the government of Alberto Fernández. The law is named after trans activists Diana Sacayán and Lohana Berkins.
Guillermo José Ferraro is an Argentine accountant, businessperson, and politician who was appointed Minister of Infrastructure on 10 December 2023 by President Javier Milei.
