Fordham Rams

The Fordham Rams are the varsity sports teams for Fordham University. Their colors are maroon and white. The Fordham Rams are members of NCAA Division I and compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference for all sports except football. In football, the Rams play in the Patriot League of NCAA Division 1 Football Championship Subdivision. The University also supports a number of club sports, and a significant intramural sports program. The University's athletic booster clubs include the Sixth Man Club for basketball and the Afterguard for sailing.

Men's football tournament has been a regular Asian Games sporting event since the 1951 edition, while women's tournament began in 1990.

The Republic of Korea women's national football team represents South Korea in international women's football competitions. South Korean women's team has qualified for three FIFA World Cups, in 2003, 2015, and 2019.

India mens national basketball team

The India men's national basketball team represents India in international men's basketball. It is controlled by Basketball Federation of India. The team made significant improvements as the sports of basketball is becoming more popular.

The Indian women's national field hockey team represents India in international field hockey, and is governed by Hockey India. Nabhvarna are currently ranked 7th in the FIH World Rankings, and are ranked as the best team in Asia. They have won the gold medals at the 2002 Commonwealth Games and 1982 Asian Games. They have also won the Women's Asia Cup twice, i.e. in 2004 and 2017. They also won the Asian Champions Trophy in 2016. India at the 2020 Summer Olympics, for the first time ever, reached the semi-final in the Women's Hockey Olympic event but failed to bag any medal after they lost to Argentina in the semifinal and then to Great Britain in Bronze medal match.

The India women's national football team is controlled by the All India Football Federation and represents India in women's international football competitions. The women's team resumed playing on 7 September 2012 after nearly a year-long hiatus. Under the global jurisdiction of FIFA and governed in Asia by the AFC, India is also part of the South Asian Football Federation. The team was one of the best in Asia in the mid 1970s to early 1980s, when they became runners-up in the 1979 and the 1983 AFC Women's Asian Cup.

Japan national under-23 football team

The Japan national under-23 football team(Japanese: U-23サッカー日本代表) is a national association football youth team of Japan and is controlled by the Japan Football Association. The team won the gold medal at the 2010 Asian Games and were champions in the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship. The head coach is Koichi Togashi. Since 1992, it was decided that teams targeting athletes under the age of 23 will participate in the Olympics. Therefore, the name changes to Japan national under-22 football team the year before the Olympics and Japan national under-21 football team two years prior. The exception to this is the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which has been postponed for one year, so in 2021, the team will be called the Japan national under-24 football team.

The Vietnam national futsal team represents Vietnam in international futsal and is governed by Vietnam Football Federation.

The Philippines Women's National Softball Team, nicknamed the "Blu Girls", is the national team of Philippines. They are governed by the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines. They won a bronze medal in 1970 ISF Women's World Championship in Osaka, Japan and it was their first medal won in a World Championship.

Sunil Dabas is a coach of national female Kabbadi team of India. Over the years, she has coached her team to win seven international gold medals, including the 2010 Asian Games and the World Cup-2012. She was awarded the Dronacharya Award in 2012, and Padma Shri in 2014 by Government of India.

Salma Khatun Bangladeshi cricketer

Salma Khatun is an all round cricketer who plays for the Bangladesh cricket team. She is a right-handed batsman and right-arm offbreak bowler. Salma was the captain of the Bangladesh Women's cricket team and also one of the best players among other women cricketers.

Pooja Sahasrabudhe

Pooja Sahasrabudhe is an Indian International Table tennis player from Thane, Maharashtra. She comes from a humble middle-class background, and was born and brought up in Thane, Maharashtra. She took to Table tennis at the age of 9 in the year 2000 and showed keen interest and great talent in the sport. Her coach Mrs. Shailaja Gohad at the Boosters TT Academy, was quick to notice this and it was under her guidance that Pooja groomed as a player. She started representing India at a very young age. Pooja did her schooling and graduation from Thane and was absorbed by ONGC in the year 2010. Pooja recently got married and moved to Pune, India where she continues to train under the guidance of Mr. Rohit Chaudhary - a Shiv Chatrapatee Awardee and her husband Mr. Aniket Koparkar - an ex-international himself.

China at the 2018 Asian Games Sporting event delegation

The People's Republic of China competed at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia, from 18 August to 2 September 2018. China won 289 medals, leading the medal count for the tenth time in Asian Games history.
