Fotyen Tesfay (born 17 February 1998) [1] is an Ethiopian long-distance runner. She competed in the women's 10,000 metres event at the 2024 Summer Olympics held in Paris, France. In 2019, she competed in the senior women's race at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships held in Aarhus, Denmark. [1] She finished in 11th place. [1]
In 2016, she finished in 4th place in the women's 3000 metres event at the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships held in Bydgoszcz, Poland. In 2016, she won the Great Ethiopian Run held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
In 2017, she competed in the junior women's race at the 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championships held in Kampala, Uganda. [2] She finished in 6th place. [2]
In 2020, she won the 63rd edition of the Campaccio held in San Giorgio su Legnano, Italy. [3]
Genzebe Dibaba Keneni is an Ethiopian middle- and long-distance runner. A 1,500 metres 2016 Rio Olympics silver medalist, she won a gold medal in this event and a bronze in the 5,000 metres at the 2015 World Championships. Genzebe is the current world record holder for the indoor events of the one mile, 3,000m and 5,000m.
