Foundation of Bones is the second EP by Enterprise Earth. It is the band's first EP since 2014's XXIII. It is the first release from the band without founding guitarist BJ Sampson, the first release with new drummer Brandon Zackey, and the first release as a four-piece band.

As of mid-2012, their lineup consists of vocalist Brandon Ellis, drummer Pete Kalinowski, guitarists Sean Kick and Andrew Stevens, and bassist Stephen Hull. They released an independent EP, The What What What EP, before signing to Tooth & Nail Records and releasing a second EP, American Dream EP and a debut full-length, Secrets Don't Make Friends, which was produced by Matt Grabe and released on April 24, 2012.

Quickly after their inception, the band began picking up a large internet following. At the beginning of the spring, the band finalised their deal with Attila frontman, Chris Fronzak, and moved to his record label Stay Sick Recordings, leaving former label We Are Triumphant.
