Kunle Idowu, ( Loudspeaker.svg Listen ), popularly known as Frank Donga, is a Nigerian actor and comedian. He rose to fame through the webseries, The Interview, on Ndani TV about an unassuming job-seeker for which he was nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy in the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award in 2015. [1] He has gone on to feature in several movies like The Wedding Party and its sequel The Wedding Party 2 . [2] Previously working as a journalist, [3] he also works as a photographer and a filmmaker. [4]

Contents

In 2022, he and Philomaine Nanema co-presented Hello Doc, a series intended to encourage COVID-19 immunisation in Africa. [5]

Education

Idowu attended Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University) where he obtained a B.Sc in Agricultural Science and also the University of Ibadan, where he obtained a master's degree in Animal Genetics. [6]

She rose to fame for her role in the movie titled Jenifa which earned her the nickname Jenifa. The Omo Ghetto trilogy contributed to her fame. Funke Akindele played the lead role in the show Jenifa's Diary, for which she was named the Best Actress in a Comedy at the 2016 and 2017Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. Again, at the 2020 and 2022 AMVCA, she took home the same award, making it her fifth wins for the Best Actress in a Comedy category. Akindele is the most nominated actress at the AMVCA and currently owns six AMVCA which makes her the actress with most win at the AMVCA. Kunle Afolayan(listen) is a Nigerian actor, producer and director. He is widely credited for elevating the quality of Nollywood movies through larger budgets, shooting on 35mm, releasing in cinemas, and improving cliché Nollywood storylines. After starting his film career as an actor in the 1999 political drama Saworoide, Afolayan made his directorial debut in 2006 with Irapada, a Nigerian supernatural thriller, which won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Film in an African Language. His follow-on directing credits include The Figurine, Phone Swap, October 1, and Citation. October 1 was the winner of 16 major African movie awards in 2015 and the second highest grossing Nigerian film in Nigerian cinemas at the time of its release, a feat Afolayan was to repeat two years later with The CEO. In 2021, the director signed a three-picture deal with Netflix. Released on 30 September 2022, it stars Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye, Sola Sobowale,Hakeem Kae-Kazim and Taiwo Hassan. The film was shot in Oyo State and Afolayan has described the work as a "Game of Thrones recreated in Nigeria but with a better representation of our culture ".
