Frank Charles Hayes (born 6 December 194) [1] is a former English cricketer,who played in nine Test matches and six One Day Internationals from 1973 to 1976. He made an unbeaten 106 in his first Test appearance,becoming the thirteenth man to score a century on debut for England, [2] but in eight further Tests (all against the West Indies) his highest score was a mere 29.
For Lancashire he had more success. He made 94 on his first-class debut in the 1970 season,seven years later hit Malcolm Nash for 34 runs in an over (6-4-6-6-6-6) and captained the Lancashire side from 1978 to 1980. He retired in 1984.
Hayes was later director of cricket at Oakham School.
Michael Andrew Atherton is a broadcaster,journalist and a former England international first-class cricketer. A right-handed opening batsman for Lancashire and England,and occasional leg-break bowler,he achieved the captaincy of England at the age of 25 and led the side in a record 54 Test matches. Known for his stubborn resistance during an era of hostile fast bowling,Atherton was described in 2001 as a determined defensive opener who made "batting look like trench warfare". He had several famed bouts with bowlers including South Africa's Allan Donald and Australia's Glenn McGrath. Atherton often played the anchor role at a time when England batting performances lacked consistency.

Phillip Anthony Jason "Daffy" DeFreitas is an English former cricketer. He played county cricket for Leicestershire,Lancashire and Derbyshire,as well as appearing in 44 Test matches and 103 ODIs. Cricket writer Colin Bateman noted that "DeFreitas was an explosive hitter when the mood took him,an aggressive pace bowler,inclined to pitch everything short and a spectacular fielder".
Frank Howe Sugg was an English footballer and first-class cricketer. He played for England in two Test matches in 1888 and for three county cricket clubs –Yorkshire in 1883,Derbyshire from 1884 to 1886 and Lancashire from 1887 to 1899. He also played for five football clubs.
Graeme "Foxy" Fowler is an English former professional cricketer and cricket coach,who played for Lancashire County Cricket Club,England,and later for Durham. He appeared in 21 Test matches and 26 One Day International (ODIs) for England,averaging 35.32 in his Test batting career. After his playing career he founded the centre of excellence scheme at Durham MCCU based at Durham University in 1996,the success of which led the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to establish five more centres;Fowler stepped down as head coach in 2015,after changes in the scheme.
