Franklin and Friends is a CGI children's television series produced by Nelvana. The second adaptation and spin-off of the classic characters from the Franklin the Turtle series of children's books written by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark (the first being Franklin , which was also produced by Nelvana), the series was announced by Nelvana on September 28, 2010. [1] The series also serves as a reboot of the 1997 animated television series. The series premiered on Treehouse TV on March 4, 2011. [2] The series’ theme song is a revamped version of the original series theme, "Hey It's Franklin".
After 2 years of airing, the final episode of the series aired on December 22, 2013. 52 episodes were produced in total.
Aside from Franklin (voiced by Graeme Jokic), other characters from the original series return, including Bear, Fox, Rabbit, Beaver, Goose and Snail, as well as his baby sister Harriet. Raccoon and Badger appear to be gone until 2013. Aunt T, a new character, is introduced in this series; she has a youthful personality. Another new character is Officer Rabbit; a grey female rabbit police officer. The series features special themes which include mysteries, Woodland events, and outdoor activities.
The series debuted on Treehouse TV on March 4, 2011. [2] It premiered in the United States on Nickelodeon on February 13, 2012. It later began airing on the Nick Jr. Channel from March 1, 2012, to March 29, 2019. The series ended on December 22, 2013.[ citation needed ] On March 9, 2024, All 52 episodes were uploaded to YouTube by the official Franklin YouTube channel.

Nelvana Limited is a Canadian animation studio and entertainment company owned by Corus Entertainment. Founded in July 1971 by Michael Hirsh, Patrick Loubert, and Clive A. Smith, it was named after Nelvana of the Northern Lights, the first Canadian national superhero, who was created by Adrian Dingle. The company's production logo is a polar bear looking at Polaris, the North Star.

Maggie and the Ferocious Beast is a Canadian animated children's television series created by Michael and Betty Paraskevas. The program was based on the 1996 book The Ferocious Beast with the Polka-Dot Hide and its sequels, which were also written by the Paraskevas. George and Martha is a series of children's books written and illustrated by James Marshall between 1972 and 1988. Each book in the series contains five short stories describing interactions between two hippos, George and Martha. The books inspired an animated children's television show which comprised 26 episodes made in 1999, and a musical made in 2011.
Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends, sometimes shortened to Miss Spider or Sunny Patch, is a British-Canadian animated children's television series produced by Nelvana in association with AbsoluteDigital Pictures and Callaway Arts & Entertainment as a follow-up to Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Kids.
