Freya Skye (born 17 October 2009) is an English singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. She represented the UK in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022, and is starring in the upcoming film Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires . She is signed to Hollywood Records as an artist, to Disney Music Publishing as a songwriter, and also has a talent holding deal for future projects with Disney Branded Television. [1]
Skye was born on October 16, 2009 and raised in Buckinghamshire, England. She started singing and acting at the age of five. [1]
Skye released her debut single "I Love the Way" in 2021. [2] On 3 November 2022, it was announced that she would be representing the United Kingdom at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia, to perform her song "Lose My Head". [2] [3] She won the top spot in the online global public vote, [1] and finished fifth overall. [4] She was 13 years-old at the time. [2] She was featured in two BBC documentaries about her experience with Eurovision and her pop music career, [1] and was a part of the lineup at the London Eurovision Party 2023. Skye has worked as a voice actor on video games including Final Fantasy XVI (2023). [8] She appeared in season 9 of the Canadian series The Next Step on YTV, playing an exaggerated version of herself. The United Kingdom first participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest at the inaugural 2003 edition which took place in Copenhagen, Denmark. ITV, a member organisation of the United Kingdom Independent Broadcasting (UKIB) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), was responsible for the selection process of their participation from 2003 to 2005. The United Kingdom used a national selection format, broadcasting a show entitled Junior Eurovision Song Contest: The British Final, for their participation at the contests. The first representative to participate for the nation at the 2003 contest was Tom Morley with the song "My Song For The World", which finished in third place out of sixteen participating entries, achieving a score of one hundred and eighteen points. The United Kingdom withdrew from competing after the 2005 contest, but returned to the contest in 2022 in Yerevan, Armenia, with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) replacing ITV as the country's broadcaster. The country withdrew again from the 2024 contest in Madrid.
France has participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest eight times, debuting in Lillehammer, Norway, at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004. France Télévisions, a member organisation of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), is responsible for the selection process of their participation. The first representative to participate for the nation was Thomas Pontier with the song "Si on voulait bien", which finished in sixth place out of eighteen participating entries, achieving a score of seventy-eight points. France did not participate after 2004, and made its return to the contest in 2018, 14 years later. France has won the contest on three occasions: in 2020, with Valentina and the song "J'imagine", in 2022, with Lissandro and the song "Oh Maman!", and in 2023, with Zoé Clauzure and the song "Cœur".

Roksana Emilia Węgiel-Mglej, also known as Roxie, is a Polish singer. She rose to prominence after winning season one of the Polish version of The Voice Kids in 2018. She represented Poland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song "Anyone I Want to Be", and went on to win the competition becoming the first Polish entrant to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Wiktoria "Viki" Gabor is a Polish singer. She began her career in 2019, as a runner-up on the second season of The Voice Kids Poland, and then later won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Superhero". She is the second Polish entrant to win the contest, and her win marked the first time a country had won the contest twice in a row, and on home soil.
Melani García Gaspar is a Spanish singer. She won La Voz Kids in 2018 and represented Spain at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 held on 24 November in Gliwice, Poland with the song "Marte", placing third.
Carla Lazzari, known professionally as Carla, is a French singer and television presenter. She represented France in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with the song "Bim bam toi", finishing fifth, and was one of the hosts for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Paris.
Daði Freyr Pétursson, known professionally as Daði Freyr or simply Daði, is an Icelandic musician living in Berlin, Germany. As the frontman of Daði & Gagnamagnið, he was due to represent Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song "Think About Things", before the event was cancelled in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, he represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "10 Years", finishing in fourth place.
Arpine Martoyan, known professionally as Maléna, is an Armenian singer and songwriter. She represented Armenia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song "Qami Qami", and went on to win the competition, becoming the second Armenian entrant to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.

Following the contest, the song went viral on TikTok and charted globally; earning her a recording contract with Columbia Records. Her debut EP, Lay Your Hands Upon My Heart, was released on 22 June 2023.

"Pedestal" is a song by Czech singer Aiko, self-released on 22 September 2023 as the lead single of Aiko's third studio album, Fortune's Child. Self-described as a "self-love, post-breakup anthem", it was written by Aiko and Steven Ansell. The song represented the Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, held in Malmö.
