The GCC U-19 Championship is an annual international football competition organised by the Gulf Cooperation Council. 2012 was expected to be the first edition of the tournament, set to be played in Qatar, however, the first edition was played in 2015 with the 2nd edition once again hosted by Qatar in 2016. Al-Rayyan Sports Club is a Qatari multisports club fielding teams in a number of sports such as football, futsal, basketball, volleyball, handball, athletics, table tennis and swimming. Doha Capital of Qatar

Doha is the capital and most populous city of Qatar. It has a population of 956,460 (2015). The city is located on the coast of the Persian Gulf in the east of the country, north of Al Wakrah and south of Al Khor. It is Qatar's fastest growing city, with over 80% of the nation's population living in Doha or its surrounding suburbs, and it is the political and economic center of the country.

The Gulf Ice Hockey Championship, also known as the GCC Gulf Ice Hockey Championships, is an international ice hockey competition involving countries from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The inaugural tournament took place on May 25 to May 30 in Kuwait City, Kuwait, and was organized by the Kuwait Ice Hockey Association. The championship has featured teams from six countries since its formation and currently consists of Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. The United Arab Emirates has won all four editions of the championship, while Kuwait has finished second on three occasions and Qatar on one.

The 2011 Under 23 Gulf Cup will be the third edition of GCC U-23 Championship taking place in Qatar between 12 August and 21 August 2011. Six nations have entered.

The Qatar national under-20 football team is the national youth team of Qatar and is controlled by the Qatar Football Association. Qatar's U-20 national team played an important role in the development of football in Qatar and gave it one its first shining moment on the global stage when the youth squad finished second in the 1981 FIFA World Youth Championship in Australia.

Abdelkarim Hassan Qatari footballer

Abdelkarim Hassan is a Qatari footballer who currently plays for Al Sadd, as a defender. He also currently plays for the Qatar national team.

The 2012–13 Qatari League, also known as Qatari Stars League was the 40th edition of top level football championship in Qatar. The season started on 15 September 2012 and took a monthlong break from 21 December to 21 January 2013 due to the Gulf Cup of Nations. Lekhwiya were the defending champions. Al-Sadd won the league for the 13th time in their history, making them the most successful team in the Qatar Stars League.

Fahad Thani is a Qatari former football player and current manager of the Qatar olympic football team. Thani, coaching mainly youth teams, including the Qatar U–17, was named as the replacement for Paulo Autuori as head coach of the Qatar national team in January 2013.

Aspire Academy is a sports academy based in the Aspire Zone in Qatar, founded in 2004 with the goal to scout and help develop Qatari athletes, whilst also providing them with secondary school education.

23rd Arabian Gulf Cup 2017–18 football competition held in Kuwait

The 23rd Arabian Gulf Cup was the 23rd edition of the biennial football competition for the eight members of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation. It took place in Kuwait from 22 December 2017 until 5 January 2018. Oman won their second title, defeating the United Arab Emirates in the final on penalties following a goalless draw.
