Mangamuni Gamini Silva (born 19 December 1960) is a Sri Lankan cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer.

Silva was born in Colombo and became a policeman. [1] He played 12 matches of first-class cricket for Police Sports Club in the Saravanamuttu Trophy in 1995/96. An all-rounder, he scored 341 runs in 17 innings as a right-handed batsman, at an average of 22.73, including 2 half centuries, and reached a top score of 73 against Nondescripts Cricket Club in January 1996. [2] A right-arm medium-pace bowler, he took 8 wickets at an average of 30.25, with best bowling of 2–10 against Sebastianites Cricket and Athletic Club in December 1995. [3]

He became a regular umpire in first-class cricket in the Sri Lankan domestic 1998/99 season, and first stood as an umpire in a Test match in the 2nd Test between Sri Lanka and South Africa in Kandy in 2000. [4] He has only stood in two other Tests - the 2nd Test between Sri Lanka and the West Indies at Kandy in 2001, [5] and the 2nd Test between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in Dhaka in 2005. [6]

He joined the ICC's International Panel of Umpires and Referees in 2002, as a specialist third umpire, [7] and has also been the third umpire in a further 8 Test matches between 2000 and 2009. He also umpired 21 One-day Internationals between 1999 and 2009, and two Twenty20 Internationals, most which were played in Sri Lanka.

Karunakalage Sajeewa Chanaka de Silva is a former Sri Lankan cricketer. A left-arm fast-medium bowler, he played eight Test matches and 38 One Day Internationals for Sri Lanka between 1996 and 2000. He made his Twenty20 debut on 17 August 2004, for Burgher Recreation Club in the 2004 SLC Twenty20 Tournament.

Asad Rauf was a Pakistani umpire and retired first-class cricketer. He was a member of the ICC Elite Umpire Panel from 2006 to 2013. Graeme Fredrick Labrooy is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who played in nine Test matches and 44 One Day International from 1986 to 1992. He was the chairman of selectors for the national team and currently serves as an international match referee. His younger brother Wendell Labrooy is also a first-class cricketer and match referee. Labrooy holds the unique distinction of never playing any of his nine test matches at home. He had modelled his text book bowling action on Richard Hadlee and he was regarded as a huge fan of Hadlee.

De Soysa International Cricket Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Moratuwa, in southwestern Sri Lanka. It is currently used mostly for cricket matches. The stadium holds 15,000 people and hosted its first Test match in 1992. The ground opened in 1940 and gained Test status in 1979. Moratuwa, located just eight miles (13 km) south of Colombo is renowned for its carpentry, cricket and its philanthropists. Indeed it was the most famous of these families that initiated the development of De Soysa Park Stadium, when they donated the 5 acre plot of land to the Urban Council in 1940, to develop the Sports Complex. An additional 2 acres were sold under its market value by another member of the family. The ground was named De Soysa Park and subsequently used mainly for Moratuwa Sports Club (MSC) and school competitions.

The 2001–02 Sri Lankan cricket season featured three Test series with Sri Lanka playing against Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and West Indies.

Ruchira Palliyaguruge is a Sri Lankan umpire and a former first-class cricketer. He played for Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club, Chilaw Marians Cricket Club, Saracens Sports Club, Nondescripts Cricket Club, Old Cambrian Sports Club. Palliyaguruge bowled right-arm medium pace and batted right-handed. Playing mostly club cricket, he has over 200 first-class wickets to his name and also over 4000 runs in a career that began in 1989/90.

Kariyawasam Indipalage Charith Asalanka is a Sri Lankan professional cricketer who plays all three formats of the game for the national team and also serves as the vice-captain of the national team in T20I and ODI. Aleft-handed batsman, Asalanka made his international debut for Sri Lanka in June 2021.

Wedagedara Sadeera Rashen Samarawickrama, popularly as Sadeera Samarawickrama, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who represents the national team in all formats of the game. He was part of Sri Lanka's squad for the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He is a past pupil of Thurstan College and St. Josephs College, Colombo.

Chandradasa Brahammana Ralalage Lahiru Sudesh Kumara, commonly as Lahiru Kumara, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer, who plays for the Sri Lanka national cricket team in all three formats of the game. On 9 February 2024, Nissanka scored an ODI double hundred, becoming the first Sri Lankan to achieve the feat.

Kamil Mishara is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He made his international debut for the Sri Lanka cricket team in February 2022. During the year 2019, dynamic and talented Kamil Mishara named and awarded as School boy cricketer of the year. He became the fourth Royal College student to win this title. Sri Lanka youth cap and Royal College left-handed opening batsman Kamil made the highest individual score of the school cricket season 2019 when he thumped a career best 250 off 270 balls against Ananda College in their Singer Trophy Under 19 match played during the year 2019.

Ashian Daniel is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Nondescripts Cricket Club in the 2019–20 Premier League Tournament on 15 August 2020. Prior to his first-class debut, he was named in Sri Lanka's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his Twenty20 debut on 4 March 2021, for Nondescripts Cricket Club in the 2020–21 SLC Twenty20 Tournament. He made his List A debut on 24 March 2021, for Nondescripts Cricket Club in the 2020–21 Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament.

The 2020–21 SLC Twenty20 Tournament was a Twenty20 cricket tournament that was held in Sri Lanka. It took place from 4 to 20 March 2021. Colombo Cricket Club were the defending champions. A total of 26 teams took part in the tournament, split into four groups, with 79 matches being played.

The 2020–21 Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament was a List A cricket competition that took place in Sri Lanka. It ran from 24 March to 11 April 2021, with twenty-six teams taking part. Chilaw Marians Cricket Club were the defending champions, winning the 2019–20 Invitation Limited Over Tournament.
