Gazauz (Persian : گزااوز‎, also Romanized as Gazā’ūz; also known as Gazāvar)^[1] is a village in Irafshan Rural District, Ashar District, Mehrestan County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 395, in 75 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Irafshan Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Ashar District, Mehrestan County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 4,186, in 803 families. The rural district has 21 villages.

Ashar District is a district (bakhsh) in Mehrestan County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran. In 2006, its population was 12,070, in 2,355 families. The District has no cities. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Ashar Rural District and Irafshan Rural District.
